Our W-reg (2000) BMW 328i saloon in silver is up for sale (£3200 ONO):
MOT until October 2010 Tax until June 2011 111k with FSH Manual Serviced with new synthetic engine oil, filter, synthetic diff oil, and synthetic gearbox oil @ 103k (cars computer says 6k miles until the next service is due - not a drop of oil used in over 7k). All important rear floorpan fix at BMW @ 108k (SEE BELOW) Refurbed wheels in anthracite with 4 new tyres @ 104, 500 miles Tracking done with the new tyres New front discs and pads @106k New rear discs and pads and a new NSR caliper @106k New battery @106k New thermostat (and coolant) and aux belts @ 108k New rear shocks and rear trailing arm bushes @ 100k Aircon/Climate control - Regassed @ 102k Bluetooth MP3/CD player (Bluetooth phone calls and music streaming) RCL/alarm with interior sensors and 2 key fobs with boot open button ABS Traction control and ASC Auto sensing wipers Auto dimming rear view mirror Complete LED interior light upgrade Headlight washers Front fog lights Electric windows all round Heated washer jets Very good bodywork for the age of the car, few minor imperfections (very minor eg a few stone chips etc) but it is 9 years old. As you can see from the pictures I take great pride in the look and condition of my car and always clean it regularly. I use quality items for paint protection including a well established polish brand, topped with very durable wax. The cars paintwork always has a nice beading effect when wet, as a true sign of how well looked after it is. I do have more pictures, so please get in contact if you would like to see them before travelling to see the car itself. Had the rear subframe issue that plagued so many 323's and 328's fixed at BMW only a couple of thousand miles ago at a cost of around £3k (reciepts kept), so that is a major piece of mind if you are looking at these cars! The car is for sale at £3200 but all reasonable offers will be considered. No sorry it has the cloth interior. I didn't want leather when I was looking as I am always hot and quite often wearing shorts and don't like sticking to seats. You can however get leather interiors off ebay pretty cheap if that's what you wanted? Would look nice with black leather on the interior!
Originally my plans were to get the sport bumpers and skirts for it as well. I have the wiring harness for the multi-function steering wheel ready, just needed the wheel. But like I said my plans have changed due to our wedding costs snowballing!! Women... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Updated Autotrader link: Clicky |

Right well at the weekend replaced the front brakes, had the tracking done as was slightly out and installed a new battery!!!
Hard work selling cars at the moment. Not much interest in this and not to sure why as such a clean example!! Not like it's overpriced for the age/mileage/condition and amount of new parts I've put on it!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

Now on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MESELX:IT The reserve is lower than the buy it now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) If it doesn't sell we have decided we'll keep it and just take longer to pay off the debts as cracking car and just not ready to give it away considering the condition and new parts/hard work I've put into it!! |

Surprised this hasn't gone yet to be honest. Good luck with the auction. Sure someone will snap it up.

Cheers Gaz. No more suprised than me, been on autotrader for 4/5 weeks now and not one phone call! I know it's not exactly cheap but thought it was worth £3495, especially considering I'm willing to listen to offers! Had one idiot on Ebay already email me saying would I take £2k for it.....Urrmmm NO!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) TBH if it doesn't go for at least the reserve on Ebay we'll just keep it and I'll have to ask my boss for lots of overtime to clear the wedding bills, as a cracking car!

UPDATE 22/11/09 - More new parts fitted this weekend. Thought the handbrake was sticking on the nearside rear, turned out the caliper was seized.
So now also fitted new rear discs and pads, and a new caliper on the NSR. |

The car is still for sale but currently with BMW having the brand new and updated floor pan installed (at their own expense and which means no worries about future problems like many other early E46's that haven't had it done)!!

Well the BMW's rear subframe was all fixed by BMW (at a cost to them of around £3k!!) and we are still thinking of selling if somebody wants it as our baby is due in 7 weeks and want to sort out a cheap diesel before she arrives!
Will accept £3200 (offers will be considered!) |

So since you've first put this up for sale mate it has needed upwards of 3.5k of work doing to it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I think 3k of that would of been the Subframe repair , which Bmw pay for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Thats fine, but how would you know that if you bought it??? We on here would know but not everybody is as knowledgeable as those on here..................... Its great that its covered but the buyer would have had to go through all the hassle and toing and throwing with BMW to get it fixed. -------------------- ![]() |

Thats fine, but how would you know that if you bought it??? We on here would know but not everybody is as knowledgeable as those on here............. its the risk you take buying any car. mine hasnt had the floor mended .doent mean it will go tommorrow though. the car seems well sorted now. and is a good price imo. only thing its missing is the leather trim. does help it sell better. my mate wants one but dont have the money or id tell him to buy it. -------------------- ![]() |

We will be sad to see it go as very comfortable and makes you feel really safe, but needs must at the moment and with ever increasing mileage (and I have a track car) there is just no need to have a 2.8 petrol car anymore. Just want to sell this one and sort a new diesel out before my little girl arrives in 7 weeks!!
As you both rightly point out, just because a BMW hasn't had the repair doesn't mean it will definately go but least with this one being done the new owner will never have to worry about it...as it's already fixed! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Spent quite a bit of time and money getting bits sorted on this in the time we've owned it as I hate unreliable cars so I always do the work before it really needs to be done! Importantly no rusty arches...which I searched for originally as don't like rusty arches! Shouldn't need an awful lot doing over the next few years at least!! Will be open to offers if someone is interested...I can only say no (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

I reckon it hasn't sold purely because of your dark alloys and tinted lights. I bet if you were to swap them for normal ones someone would snap it up in an instant. These kinds of mods don't appeal to most people and make it look like the car has had a crash repair or something.
No offence to your choice of mods, I have tinted lights myself. My car looked nasty when I had dark wheels; they had to go! -------------------- Everything I post is my opinion. If I don't know that you disagree, I won't argue with you :)

I think Mit is right, standard or OEM+ is the only way to go when selling to a mass market dude (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) -------------------- Trickster
