Eibach Springs

Recommended Posts

Right then I've finally decided to get on with fitting my springs, they have been in my garage for over 6 months :) but i have a couple of questions?

I don't think i will have the time to do both front and rear at the same time, the front of my car sits pretty high and the back is already low as the car are on sports springs already and with the 19" wheels its already low.

What i want to know is will i have any problem in running the car for a few days with Eibach Sport lines on the front (if i do tomorrow) and have the original sports springs on the back (until next weekend). I know i will need alignment done after but want to know if its ok to do what I'm asking?

Thanks

Scott

Don't see a problem with that at all mate but you will do both rears in about an hour, really easy.

The only problem with having the rears done is the arches will need rolling and possibly flaring as the X5 alloys are staggered, The CSL reps that i have wouldn't be a problem, to be honest I'm thinking of putting them back on anyway, just need to get them refurbished first...

My coupe's been running eibachs up front and standard springs at the rear for about 2 years without any probs at all :)

I put the fronts on then took it out for a rip down a bumpy road then took it back to the work shop and decided that i was lovin her new head down a** up stance :)

By the way brave choice of wheels you have there but they work really well :)

Cheers pal, not had any issues with them at all and only have spacers on the front, but will add them to the rear so they stick out a bit but only once i have the rear arches rolled and possibly flared (in the future)

Off topic your car needs that chrome window trim taken off for black ones! lol

You will be fine running the front with eibach's as said. Really you just need front to go down a little, the rear looks just right.

Have a look at my piccy above & see how the Shadowline trim cleverly ties in with the black grills & splitters ;)

I loved the Chrome grills for ages & fancied a change , loving the black grills now :)

I agree Daz if your gonna go black then its gotta be all black but i'm a bit of a magpie and like shiney things :P
