  1. I have 18" CSL reps which are ET37 8.5" with 255/35 tyres on the rear, combined with Eibach Pro/B4's and -1.5 camber mine has never rubbed on road or track. even had a full boot and 4 people in it and i was surprised that it never rubbed once, its not what i class as particularly low so maybe thats a factor too.
  2. Mine started doing the exact same thing all the time, once the pixels started going on the screen as well i decided to replace it with a Erisin Andriod unit!
  3. mine averages around 25mpg on town driving/short bursts etc, on motorway runs its around 34mpg.
  4. i would go with the petrol all day long, make sure its a manual box and don't waste money on the LPG conversion - just enjoy it.
  5. same gearbox in both LHD and RHD.
  6. best option is to get the 5speed box from a 330i/ci as these are commonly available compared to the 6speed box and fit perfectly, you will need to get the matching prop shaft/flywheel and clutch as they are all different between 5 and 6 speed, along with the correct length bell housing bolts and shield for this. you will need the pedal box along with clutch master and slave cylinders and the link pipe between to two (fits behind dash), you don't need new clocks at all - just reprogrammed to manual spec. there is a little bit of wiring to the DME and EWS and a clutch switch required to get the car to start, then reprogram the computers all to manual spec. overall its quite easy as its basically a flywheel/clutch change with a few additional parts to fit, i did this to my car about 4 years ago and it runs perfectly and benefits from the 3.38 ratio auto diff, mine is a 6speed conversion too. Software you can use NCS Expert/PA soft/progman-SSS etc etc
  7. Nice work on the manifolds, when i fitted mine i noticed that it pulled much harder from around 3500/4000rpm to the limit. Kos has his dyno'd after and made about 10bhp, still n/a engine though mind! i haven't got around to getting mine checked yet, but no EML at all and done a few thousand miles!
  8. mine is a June 2003 model, the original manifolds do have both pre and post lambdas fitted. you will need to either relocate the post lambdas further down behind the secondary cats or map them out, my system is an Alpina B3.3 system which has the fittings for the post lambdas further down under the car directly behind the cats, i just had to relocate them and extend the looms (i made some extensions using some my old lambda wiring so it was all plug and play). picture of the cats on the Alpina exhaust (borrowed from Kos!)
  9. You won't be able to join that system to your new manifolds, it looks like it's designed to connect onto the new manifold with cats in them. you will need some downpipes like off this system, you could easily mate these with the original style by welding some flanges onto the lower section of the downpipe. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-Series-E46-Complete-Exhaust-System/111963661813?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D4e80cf4d4e1946acb95a4866e615788d%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D131779146298
  10. Mine has never come on and it pass's emissions tests without issue too.
  11. a bit of heat and it will fly out, i replaced all of them when i did mine. easy job tbh
  12. yep those will fit in fine, just need to join them up to the system and away you go.
  13. they should fit but depends mainly on the stud pattern on your engine and the manifolds, are they like these below? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-SERIES-323-328-E46-1999-2000-2-5-2-8-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-with-Lambda-/172134046547?hash=item2813fd1b53:g:A~cAAOSwvgdW5wiH also do they have the lambda's fitted?
  14. Schrick cams are the normal choice for the BMW's by the looks, it might be worth trying Cannockwolf as he has cams in his charged 330ci.
  15. Good choice! i run the Eibach Pro's with B4's on mine, very good combination imho!
