  2. FOR SALE BMW E46 325 CI MSport 2002 Topaz Blue MILEAGE - 141889 MOT – 21st September 2016 TAX – SORN REG – LM52 SUF (has been on a private plate up until 15/06/2016, but LM52 SUF is the cars original mark which is now back on the vehicle) 2 keys V5 present In the last 4 and a half years of ownership this car has wanted for nothing and the only reason I am selling now is that I fancied something newer, bigger for the family and DIY tasks. This car has been washed every week during my ownership and was treated to GTechniq coatings in November 2014 which has kept the car looking fresh. It will be a shame to see it go, it drives great without fault and has always started at the first turn of the key. The ride and handling is great, the car drives precise and sharply. The power delivery is constant and pulls through all gears smoothly. FULL SERVICE HISTORY – details given below. The car is subtly modified and the spec is as follows: SPEC: Lowered a further 40mm on PI springs Genuine M3 mirrors (original M3 mirrors in Topaz Blue) Front and Rear Upper strut braces Powerflex (purple) Front control arm bushes FlowFlex Front Antiroll bar bushes FlowFlex Rear Antiroll bar bushes FlowFlex Rear droplinks Braided brake hoses Andrive Android and WinCE double din headunit which uses the orginal steering wheel controls and fits as if it were OEM. (CD/DVD/Sat Nav/Internet capable/iPhone/SD) Facelift LED rear lights. These are the expensive OEM items, not cheap aftermarket versions 25mm Spacers fitted to the rear wheels Fresh MSport stitched Gear and Handbrake gaiter 6K HIDs fitted to Aftermarket (DEPO) projector headlights Smoked Indicators and Side repeaters Short Shift Recent works: New spark Plugs New rocker cover gasket New CCV breather pipe The car is fitted with the later MV2 alloy wheels which all have matching Vredestien Sessanta tyres with good tread depth remaining. These wheels are staggered width, 8J front and 8.5J rear, OEM not cheap reps. Negatives: Few age related marks, nothing major. Front passenger side brake disc shield has started to rattle this week (just a piece of tin so it rattles when going over bumps) Rust bubbles starting to show on both rear arches. I have had a couple of quotes to get this sorted and they start at £150. Small wear/rip on the drivers side bolster. I have included to pictures of the front lights as it’s currently running US style side lights as well as the Angel Eye rings. This isn’t permanent as it’s done via the cars ECUs coding and can be put back to original should the new owner wish to. I can even do this for you when you collect the car. All receipts have been kept, signed and dated to show this as well as the service book signed and dated. All receipts for parts will be included in the sale, and the photograph attached is of the receipts and service book for this car. There is loads and loads of history for this car. And the original build list is included. Car is saying the next service is due in over 7000 miles. 6. I'm after an near perfect condition Topaz Blue MSport Coupe/Vert rear bumper. Not fussed on PDC being included or the diffuser. Just need a good condition Topaz blue bumper. It can't be scuffed or damaged in anyway. Delivery to Gloucester preferred but could collect from Gloucester/ Cheltenham/ Forest of Dean/ Bristol. Pictures to verify condition are required. Cash waiting. Thanks
  7. That sound like a right ball ache to do. Don't know, I just like the fact I can leave them on with the ignition off. I coded the US sidemarkers on last night again and they and the sidelights stay on with ignition off this time. Haven't had chance to run through the current and previous US sidemarker .TRC/.MAN file to see what else is different yet, but plan to as that might answer my own question.
  8. Morning, I can and have previously coded the indicators on to be US sidemarkers, and am looking at doing it again. However, IIRC from last time once coded ON, when you switch the ignition off with sidelights on all the lights switch off and then switch back on again when the ignition is switched back on. But this isn't the same as when the US sidemarkers are coded OFF. When they are coded off, the sidelights stay on (as per the switch) when the ignition is switched off. I have been through the code and only change 4 lines to get US sidemarkers on and have roughly translated each of those line to see what they mean and nothing jumps out as to which one causes the lights to go off with ignition once coded. Does anybody else see this issue and know how to fix it in the code?? Here is the code that I change to get US sidemarkers and the rough translations: TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE aktiv DRL_DIMMUNG wert_02 GEDIMMT_BLK_BEGRENZ_LICHT aktiv SIDEMARKER_US aktiv TAGFAHRLICHT = DAYTIME DIMMUNG = DIMMING GEDIMMT_BLK_BEGRENZ_LICHT = DIMMED LIMITED LIGHT SIDEMARKER = SIDEMARKER Thanks
  9. Sorry for my delayed reply, I missed your post. 2 is a US / Left Hand Drive part, as they don't have the heat shield fitted like the UK / right hand drive models do. The RHD models need the heat shield as they are located right next to the exhaust manifold. Image on the left is the UK / RHD version. The solid Item I do is a direct replacement for both (as they are the same except for the heat shield).
  10. Custom Aluminium BMW E46 Steering Guibo/Bush This item is a custom made Aluminium bush that replaces the rubber OE part which usually wears and has been known to cause tram lining, strange tyre wear, tracking issues and vague steering feeling. The Aluminium bush fits in the same space as the rubber item with basic modifications to the existing parts. DISCLAIMER: This is a custom part that varies from OEM specification. I take no responsibility in the fitting of this item or the damage, injury or loss that may occur from its fitting or use. You fit and use this at your own risk. Off road use only. Please ensure all bolts are secure and loctite is applied in the correct manor and the UJs are refitted in the correct manor as intended by the vehicle manufacturer to the correct torques. Please see the forum DIY disclaimer also What you get: 1 * Aluminium Guibo 4 * SS Bolts 4 * SS Nyloc nuts 8 * SS Washers I have had one fitted to my 325 coupe for the last 2 years (20000miles approx.) without any issues. It has really sharpened up the steering feel and made the car feel more precise when cornering. Fitting one of these will also aid when you have an aftermarket manifold fitted or plan to fit, as it has a slightly smaller diameter than the OE parts which means your shiny new aftermarket manifold wont foul the steering bush. Available for shipping immediately - 3 available £50 delivered Thanks
  11. Im after a pair of Coupe / Vert kidney grilles to fit a pre-facelift coupe / vert. Condition not important as long as all the clips are good. Black or Chrome, will be being painted. Price posted to Gloucester (GL4) Thanks very much
  12. Is this a non-m3 mirror glass? Can you flip it upside down (mirror still pointing out) and clip it back on?
  13. i think I just want a replacement to be honest, i can imagine the solid ones would give too much feedback through the steering wheel wouldn't they? Any feedback that is received through the steering wheel is gratefully received in my opinion. On day to day driving there is no noticeable negative feedback....the solid bush is no different to what other car manufacturers do, just bmw decided for extra comfort a rubber join was the option. A very well known and highly regarded Motorsport engine builder bought one off me for his 330d and this was his feedback: This is by no means a sales pitch either, just some honest feedback from someone other than me.
  14. I've just sold the last one from the latest batch of solid ones I do. But j can get fresh ones if you decide you want uprated instead of rubber. Toby
