2005 BMW E46 330ci
Where to start? This has been my absolute pride and joy for the last 5 years. I bought her with just 56k miles on and in the last 42k miles she has never let me down. As a BMW enthusiast she has led a very pampered life and has a massive spec sheet.
She started life as a SE model but in my ownership has undergone a full m sport conversion consisting of:
Shadow line window surrounds.
The bodykit was painted by Cooper BMW and a cost of £750!
She also benefits from the following upgrades:
M3 red leather interior
M3 front splitters
BC Racing br series coilovers
Genuine BMW club sport gear knob
Genunie BMW Rubber boot floor cover
Focal Speaker upgrade (tweeters and main speakers)
LED interior light conversion
LED number plate light
Umnitza LED angel eyes
Road legal pressed metal plates
Re-trimmed steering wheel with m sport stitching
Re-trimmed handbrake and gear gaiters,
Custom cat back exhaust with several sounds available with a lifetime warranty (sound changes by swapping boxes around)
But it's not all about the upgrades, every single E46 weak point has been prevented
New thermostat (genuine BMW)
Rear trailing arm bushes (replaced with power flex black series with lifetime warranty)
New Meyle front control arms with power flex bushes
New starter motor (genuine BMW)
New cam cover gasket (genuine BMW)
New crank case breather (genuine BMW)
New steering guibo (genuine BMW)
New windscreen wipers (genuine BMW)
Still under the BMW 13 paint warranty so absolutely no rust anywhere
And much much more besides.
All of this was done as preventative maintenance, have a google and read on owners club forums and you will see every e46 will need these parts replacing sooner or later. I always have her serviced way before schedule (every 6k miles), even the techies call me crazy for servicing her so often but they do always comment on how clean she is, which is just as well as when BMW painted the genuine sport bodykit I also asked them to paint the bonnet and front wings to get rid of any stone chips (again the bill was huge)
She has been to several shows and always draws positive comments and admiring glances, I really don't want to sell her but having just bought an E92 335i, i find it hard to justify keeping 2 cars (especially as I have a 4 mile commute).
There are extremely few downsides to this car apart from 1 or 2 minor marks but she is nearly 12 years old, as you can tell from the pictures I am being pedantic here.
Non of the above detract from the look or feel of the car, she feels exactly as a BMW should, nice and tight and handles very well. The M54 engine is very strong and if you do your research is good for over 200k miles. The gearbox is nice and smooth and notch free.
I am in no rush to sell her, after adding up all the service and upgrade bills totalling over £9k! I am not about to sell her for £1500, if that is your budget look somewhere else and I promise you it will need all of the above replacing.
I'm sure I have forgotten a lot but I am happy to discuss her and answer any questions you may have.
I do still have a lot of the standard parts if you want to swap some things around. I am more than happy to email more pictures, I have hundreds.
Viewing is strongly recommended, you will not be disappointed in her, she is stunning!
Obviously this will be a cash on collection transaction, there is currently NO tax or insurance on her (as I am running my 335) so if a test drive is wanted you will have to provide proof of insurance. You can get 1 day insurance policies for around £30.
