  1. The battery is already flat as a pancake.

  3. Hi guys long time no post ( I no longer have my old 325 ) However I have an emergency problem that I was helping someone in the know could help me with. I work at a performance car enthusiast place as their detailer these days ( yes one of those rare dealerships that employ someone to prepare their cars properly ). Today I was asked to get an X5 ready for a customer to view, however it had a flat battery so I managed to get in with the hidden key and pop the bonnet. I popped the jump pack on the termial under the bonnet and ground it on the chassis then went to start the car. Popped the key in the ignition and there was nothing there, so went and fiddled under the bonnet to get a better earth, tried again and still nothing. So In my haste I jumped out leaving he keys in the ignition and went to try and get a better connection under the bonnet which by the sounds of things I did as I saw the tell tale sparks and heard a slight whirring noise. So thinking I was home and dry and I went to the drivers door to start the car......... .....only to find that the car had locked itself with the keys in the damn ignition!!!!! Is there any secret way to get in the car or am I boned and paying for a locksmith, out of my wages to get this issue fixed?? I can appreciate due to the sensitive nature of this problem people may not want to post in public about how to get in cars with out a key so feel free to PM me if needs be. Also if you would like to verify things first I can also provide contact details for the dealership so you could ring me ( or one of the directors ) on Monday morning or email the director directly. Heres hoping someone can help me.
  4. Thanks for the info...When the car starts it drives fine with the temp slap in the middle as it should be. Where abouts is the coolant sensor and is it a cheap /easy fix. Also what is the DME?
  5. Hi guys long time no postie but here goes. I have a 2000 e46 323Ci that has developed a problem starting. So far today it has happened twice today. This morning I popped to the shop and when I went out the first time the car started at home and the shop fine. However 45 mins later when i went to go back out again the car wouldn't start at all to the point it drained the battery. So I put the car on charge then tried it 30 mins later and bingo she fired up and i went to the shop. When I came back out of the local Tesco it took around 6 or 7 attempts before the car actually started. Eventually it did and I got home. Then this evening I went back down to the shop to get some smokes and on the way down there despite the computer saying i had around 66 miles left the car conked and wouldnt start. So I grab some fuel and after 3 attempts the car started, so I continued to TEsco. When I came back out of Tesco, again she refused to start. However this time I noticed that everytime I turn the ignition on the temp gauge jumped straight to the red but with no warning light. After around 10 attempts the car finally started and drove fine on the way home. Has anyone had anything similar happen in the past and was it a cheap fix or is it time for fleabay?
  6. I have joined forces with kickstarter in a bid to get my design venture off the ground. Now with added FAQ I have approached the usual places for funding but to no avail. If people would like to help me get this off the ground so it can go from a dream to a reality I would be for ever grateful. Please note to the tools out there this is not a begging letter it is someone looking for backers to start a business. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/445858514/fontabulous-designs
  7. Hi guys long time no speaky. I hope the admins don't mind me posting this but after years of not being able to work due to my various health issues, I am hoping to turn a hobby into a business. I have been coming up with a few designs to go on mugs, flags, posters and T-shirts. At the moment they are mainly based on my love of LUFC but could be made for other clubs as well. I can also do business logos as well ( I have recently done one for Townsend Computer Technologies in the USA ). I am by no means a professional photoshopper but I am learning more and more each and everyday. If anyone would be interested in looking at the designs they are available to view on- https://www.facebook.com/groups/fontabulous/ or on twitter through - https://twitter.com/FontabulousPics Could you please spread the word for me as I really want this to take off in a big way. At the moment I am doing between 16 and 19 hrs a day to try and get this off the ground.

  11. I'm calling on the knowledge of you guys here please. On my 2000 323 Ci every time I go over 55MPH and upto 75/80MPH my steering wobbles worse than a geriatric on a trampoline. I am pretty sure the tracking is off. So ill be having that looked at...is there anything else I should look for before I sell a kidney and start replacing the front end?
  12. OUCH!! Thats another big hit for me almost a full weeks pay ffs. Is it a big job for DIY or will I need to get it into a garage?
  13. Does this help....excuse the temp repair to see if the fuel trim malfunction error is still present on torque.
