  1. Basically it’s the best of a bad situation, there’s just 2” of clearance from the mouth of the turbo to the back of the headlight, I will be getting something fabricated but it’s currently a work in progress, the mesh is just so I could get it up and running [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Another small addition today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’m hoping this will be one of few cars on the road able to give bikes a good run, I’ve had many bikes, fastest was a 2012 ZX10r which I brought new, that was fun [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’m out now driving about back roads trying not to spool up the turbo and keep under 3k and not stall it with this silly paddle clutch, it’s like a bloody switch. Turbo spool very early in rev range, can here it starting to make boost just over 2000rpm [emoji38] Can’t wait to start actually mapping this, numbers aside, it’s gonna be fooking quick. 5. Got them from this guy, I went with the harder compound also. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F322847865974 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Definatly something I would be interested in. Keep us updated, I’m not running a stock MAF, well stock anything really but the MS43 ECU. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I went with MEYLE gearbox mounts and the poly engine mounts, no vibrations [emoji106] I had fitted poly gearbox mounts with the super charger, took them straight off again, was ridiculous Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Has always been the plan to keep it looking as stock as possible, I’m even raising the ride height back to stock too. And yes, it’s should embarrass most super cars, and be snapping at the heels of any hyper cars. The build has the potential to hit 800+bhp, will need a bigger turbo and injectors for that, and some further fueling mods, buts that’s all for 2019 [emoji6] 2020 I turn 40, I have an iron block ready for a 1000hp build, but that’s another storey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’d hate to think of total cost, all the little bits like clips, V bands, hoses all start adding up fast. Let’s just say it’s not cheap, could of easily bought an M3 with the build cost. But so could anyone else, not many are stupid enough to do what I’ve done [emoji23] I’ll take some more pics over the weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It’s up running and on the road. Haven’t fitted front mud flaps yet as will be giving the paint a machine polish. Now it’s a painful 500+ miles of 0 boost and low RPM’s of running in to be done before the tuning can commence Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. All back together, rocking the stealth look [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Honestly this HX35 hybrid will be more than enough for what I need, the stock ECU can do launch control, but again I won’t use that, and as good as anti lag sounds, I would look like a bit of a plonker waiting to leave the Shell petrol station [emoji23] Appreciate the info though. 13. Has a base map on it but fueling was very rich, 9.5:1 on idle, only ran it for a minute, sorting it now though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Primed the turbo with oil, connected the battery, and turned the key. It only fired straight up as if nothing had been changed 🤪[emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Been busy doing lots of little things, finished wiring up the HPX blow though MAF And really got stuck into the welding (not me but hired help) I had purchased a DIRENZA stainless exhaust from eBay, fully expecting the fit to be terrible, but looks the part and will save a lot of fabrication time. And I was right, the hangers were to short on the rear silencer and it was pulled up tight to the rear valance, touches the fuel tank, didn’t clear the gearbox cross member, and was generally terrible. But some chopping, cutting welding and a few hours later all was good. Staggered the exhaust tips too, and also brought them closer together as the supplied tips made it look goofy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m looking into shimming drivers side up a bit, there’s about 3mm from steering coupler, and 8mm from chassis leg so that’s ok with the poly mounts as they are pretty solid anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Doesn’t look like I’ve enough room to get a 90 bend on the front of the turbo, with headlight fitted I’ve about 2.5” Going to look into a custom K&N or may just end up with a Turbo Guard screen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks guy, I’ve beenlook no into exhausts, and no it’s not going straight out the Bonnet lol Like it looking stock, and after looking into the cross sectional areas of a single 3” and a dual 2” The formula to work out cross section is π X R2 So for a 3" the CSA (cross sectional area) is; π X (1.5 X 2) = 9.42"^2 For 2" it is π X (1x2) = 6.28"^2 With twin exhaust it would be 12.56"^2 Quite a difference [emoji6] So I’m going twin [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Getting closer to actually starting it up now, just need to make up some intercooler pipes, a full exhaust and a couple of other tweaks. Made a few more changes to the M50 manifold in the hope of keeping heat soak to a minimum It’s all very tight, had to use a large hammer and install some designer dents but it’s in [emoji108][emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Clutch installed, gearbox mated to the engine, all hooked up to the hoist ready for fitting on Sunday hopefully. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Well almost ready to fit it now, had to add a flex joint to the wastegate Then spent many many hours wrapping the manifold and down pipe And re-wired all the coil packs, as well as turning then 90 degrees for extra clearance, plus I then fabricated an alloy heat shield and wrapped it in fibreglass heat reflecting tape. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I believe Govich May be selling his set up, send him a PM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. It adds up way to fast Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Haha not showing off, just showing what’s possible, but it all comes at a price got a decent discount as was returning customer and this was a prototype unit so took longer than usual to make. Was £1400 + extra for release bearing and needle bearing for the flywheel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
