  2. I'm in the process of fitting a SC to mine, the obvious hike in power makes me want to take a few precautionary measures too. I've got a new water pump, thermostat, but I've had a good look over the rad and expansion tank and all looks really good, cars done only 57k.   9. Mine had a full LED kit when I bought it, the interior was awful, not enough light with the LED's, regular bulbs emit much better light to see, but LED are brighter if that makes sense! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm also having issues programming without the engine running. Also when just moving the seat, it will start to move, then stop, then I have to release the adjuster button and push it again to start a movement.   14. Well it's not cheap, but then reliable power never is. $4500 which works out around £3k. That includes the cable and gizmo required for downloading and uploading of the maps, this also give you the ability to read codes and do all the other odds and sods that having a proper code reader/scanner allows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk * UPDATE * I suggest if your installing this kit you also purchase the following items, just makes sense as your removing them all anyway. You'll also need new coolant, some cable ties, and a lot of patients as it is extremely fiddly getting all this to fit into the engine bay.
  15. I have the kit now, the quality looks superb, the plastic hard pipes are very well made, everything has been sealed or shrink wrapped. Even comes with new plugs and spare oil for future SC services. Just need to get all the coolant system parts I'm planning on replacing at the same time. Installation will happen over the xmas break. Will be downloading the ECU file from my car and sending it to VF Engineering in the next week, this means I'll have the new map all ready to upload to the car once it's all fitted [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. I've owned my CS for a few months now, really enjoyed it, have done a few things just to bring it up to a good standard before I started this build. Car had 55k on it and just needed the usual things like polybushes, brakes, braided lines, DISA valve and a good service. It came with 19" CSL reps and although they look the nuts I wanted a sleeper. So bought a set of stock wheels from another forum member and slapped on some Pirelli P-Zero's. Car now looks almost stock, except the shadow chrome wheels. These will eventually get put back to silver. Has a M3 strut brace, Stainless back box and front and rear H&R ARB's. Also had the steering wheel re-trimmed as my hands were getting sweaty during track days So this now leads me onto the Super Charging build thread, why bother spending all that money, just buy a M3. Well I don't want an M3, arrive at a track day there will be at least 5 other M3's, won't see another CS, and personally I'm not a fan of the stigma that goes with M3 ownership. Read a lot about all the SC kits on the market, I was looking for a bolt on kit, that looks, and sounds as stock as possible. The fact my sister-in-law lives about 40 minutes from VF Engineering and that there kit looks almost stock and the price is also very good is why I've chosen it. http://vf-engineering.com/other-bmw/bmw-e46/ It is being delivered by my wonderful sister in law in about a week when she's back for xmas.   22. I like the Clubsport splitters, but then I'm bias as have a Clubsport. Personally I think if they're colour coded it's all a bit much. Yours looks great, and I think the black CS splitters would look ace. This in mine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Cheap and performance never end well lol The ESS kit looks great but is just to expensive. Been in conversation with VF engineering in California http://vf-engineering.com/other-bmw/bmw-e46/ $4496, plus shipping etc but my sister in law lives there so can dodge a fair amount of expense.   25. Do you not worry a little that a 'superb mechanically' car might throw up a few issues of its own with a supercharger strapped to it? Not really Dave, it's such a strong engine that's over engineered, it's ripe for a good low boost power hike, it's the space restrictions that I feel are its biggest enemy, and that's why not many have boosted the unit.
