  1. Daz I wasn't selling my car in this forum. I had posted the car and everything that had been done on it and was asking for people's opinion on what they thought it was worth as I was thinking of selling it. Then I had a comment and all I said was I was thinking of sticking it up for £3495. Then boom post gone. No where in there did I ever say "for sale" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. No that's not fair. I'm only trying get people's advise. I said I had a price in mind and wanted people's opinions. Kenkus which you know anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I only asked what it was worth. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Has someone got rid of it? About possibly selling my bm and asking for people to see what it's worth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The valve controls the climate control inside the car. It's a 2 piece solenoid system and they tend to stick so you only get hot air inside the car no matter what it's set to. Also when the air con is turned on it gets hotter. There £198 from BMW but I've found them one at for around £30. Just gotta make sure you get the right model. That's why I'm leaving it till next year. Don't need cold air at the moment. It's an easy fix to. It's only held in on rubber grommets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I just like how everything is aimed at the driver inside the car. I feel a little sorry for my wife because even the stereo is angled away from her. When I was getting all the work done on mine everyone was saying what's the point just sell it or I can pick up another one for that price. Yeah maybe I could have done but I looked at so many before choosing this one. There's not a mark on the outside. No sign of rust on the arches. And now that it's been fixed I know mine won't go wrong. Plus now I own it the oil is getting changed every 7/8000 miles etc so I know it's getting looked after. Before the summer I need to replace my hot water/air valve that sits on the passenger wheel arch as I'm only getting hot air but at the moment I really don't mind cos it's so damn cold. 7. I was told when I brought my E30 that once you have owned a BM its hard to get in anything else. After I had my E36 328i I got different cars but nothing can beat a BM. My misses don't get it. I love my cars and can honestly say my 46 is my favourite. It's back in the garage Monday to fix an oil leak from the rocker cover as it's leaking into the manifold and I've got a slight water leak from somewhere too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I totally agree. My E46 is my prize possession. I've worked my way up from an E30 then had my E36 and now I'm here. I've just spent over £900 getting the timing chain section rebuilt as it was rattling and the plastic guide was starting to break away. My mechanic said I had miles left in it and to sell it but I love my car to much and enjoy driving it every day. I think if your just gonna get a car to drive then yeah fix it when it's broke. Otherwise you've gotta look after it. This is my life so far in BMW's I've still got so much more I want to do on my 46. It's only a 318ci but I'm not into massive engines. I just like the ride. The way they drive. And I also love the way people still stop and look at these cars. Next on my list is full adjustable coil overs with camber plates and 10-15mm spacers. 9. Evening. I've scrolled down as far as my phone will let me and I've tried searching but it won't let me either. I'm looking at changing the battery on my key fob and the door unlock won't always work. It turns off the alarm though so thought I'd try battery first. I've been reading a lot that the batteries in the diamond key fobs are rechargeable. Can I just change for a normal battery? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Tbh I under paid for the car by a lot so all I'm doing is getting it back to where it should be. Plus with all the extras I've done to it I weren't letting it go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So the £700 bill just went up. Just as they were getting ready to drop the sump off the garage realised that my engine mount had snapped. I'm looking at over £800 now and still no car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So after 2 weeks of the car being sat in a garage they've finally had time to start the work on it. Shattered the plastic chain guide on the timing chain and the chain is really lose. It's all getting rebuilt and the sump has to come off to remove the plastic. So Friday I'll be out of pocket £700 but will have my car back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Fair enough. I've been doing some reading about it and got a lot of mixed feedback. Was thinking after getting all the work done a nice flush out might do it some good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The air bag light might just be the passenger seat belt pretensioner wiring. Mine was the same when I got it. Cost £19 off eBay then got the fault reset. Been fine since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Before it all went wrong I couldn't fault it at all. Lovely and smooth. Once this is all done I'm thinking about putting it through for a teraclean. From what I've read it'll clear fuel lines etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
