  1. Hi I’m hoping someone can help here? I’ve recently Supercharged my M54B30 E46 with an ASA Supercharger kit from G Power, I’m happy with that but my car now drinks oil at the rate of about 1 lyre per 300 miles!!! Before the conversion I had got did if the CCV and fitted a PCV valve and oil consumption was about 1 litre per 2500 miles. I can’t run the PCV valve as it causes oil leaks, believe me I know ! So I run a catch can from the valve cover and feed the outlet from the catch can back into the pre supercharged inlet, there is watery gunk in the catch can but no residue in the outlet pipe, so I’m happy with that. There are no oil leaks from anywhere but the tail pipes are black so I’m positive it’s burning the oil as there is probably not enough vacuum to seal the rings. It’s a centrifugal blower so there is vacuum at lower revs and when not in boost - approx -ve 12psi on the boost gauge. Is there anything I can do or do I just chuck oil in it ?? 2. Just a quick update, I read loads about using Dis so I loaded VMware and took a deep breath and after a few attempts I found my way through to the recalibration part and touch wood it’s cleared the fault so no more warning lights. I don’t know why the car thought the steering was out unless it just drifted out over time and eventually caused a fault. Hopefully it won’t come back but I can keep clearing it now I’ve done it once. Actually changing the steering angle sensor looks like an awkward pain if not too difficult I just don’t want have to do it or pay for a new one!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi My Car is showing the Steering angle sensor as being faulty but when I check it with INPA it shows that it’s reading 11 degrees off when straight ahead. Now I’m pretty sure it’s not faulty but it needs resetting. There should be an option to reset it but my version of INPA doesn’t have the option. I’ve read that I need an older version of INPA to have this option so does anyone have a version of INPA on discs that I could borrow to install on my PC or alternatively could anyone just reset my car if I come to you? I live near Diss in Norfolk Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hi all and no it’s not a can I fit M3 back box on my non M [emoji23] I’ve decided to fit some eBay headers to my 330ci, I’ve already fitted de cat 328 manifolds but I’m Supercharging the car and want a freer exhaust It looks to me that M3 sports cars line up with where the header will finish. Has anyone done this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Not to mention that my fan has a black control box and that silver one isn’t a direct replacement but I don’t know why?? There seem to be loads of sup-receded fan units if you look on real oem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’ve just ordered a Hella replacement for £112, I’ve also seen on YouTube someone who opened up the control box and replaced a capacitor and something else so I may look at repairing my old one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi all My electric fan has stopped working, I’ve checked that I’ve got voltage at the fan plug on the top of the fan and I’ve put 12v to the fan and it spins easily so I reckon the control box on the fan has failed Is there anyone who can repair these (I know BMW doesn’t sell it separately) I’d rather not have to buy a complete new fan unit but I can’t see any other choice unless anyone knows differently?? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Well I put a meter across the battery and it read 10.6 volts!! I disconnected the -ve and put the meter on amps and it read 0 so I guess no drain?? I borrowed the battery from my wife’s Z3 and the car started and the alternator was putting out 14.4v so I guess the battery is dead Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hi all, As per the title I went to start my car - 330ci manual and all I got was a clicking noise and the lights dimmed with the clicking, I managed to start it eventually after aimlessly wiggly wires near the engine bay wiring box Does this sound like a duff starter motor?? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hi Does the M54B30 have a MAP sensor?? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It’s coming along slowly[emoji849] I’m waiting to get the manifolds welded up but I’ve got nearly everything together, I need to buy an afr gauge and I’m hopefully doing a trial fit this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Well on its own probably not cos there’s no noticeable change anywhere, on a rolling road it’s slightly down on power but with the m52 decat manifolds plus a couple of other mods a remap should show some benefits but I’m going down the supercharger route and it should help with that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I love the fact it looks so standard, I bet it’ll give some (all) performance cars a shock! I can’t wait to see some synonyms figures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Wow that’s excellent, is it going to be available for sale and how easy is it to wire up to the car? Is it via the obd socket? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Just thought I’d let you all know about my uprated ARBs, I’ve fitted M3 ragtop bars 27mm front and 21.5mm rear. There seems to be uncertainty whether they fit but they do, I also fitted power flex D bushes and flo flex rear drop link bushes. It has certainly made the car corner better, combined with the Eibach sport line springs the car sits nice and low but not silly low and it corners nice and flat with no fuss, defiantly recommended Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
