  1. So I've now taken to flashing other E46s when I'm out and about in Bessie. Whenever I see another E46 on the road, or a BMW convertible of any model, OR an older or slammed BMW, I flash the headlights and put my hand up. (Unless it is a lady driver, when I refrain; lest they get the wrong impression). The response is usually positive, with most of them responding in one way or another. The best results are from other silver E46s (with or without roof). It's a harmless gesture. In these times of social distancing and isolation, may I suggest you do likewise - and bring a smile to someone's face! Thumbs up for the BMW brotherhood. And sisterhood!
  2. Anyone up for a group run out for E46s in Norfolk, UK? Maybe, say, Norwich meet, run up to North Norfolk coast, in convoy? On a weekend?
  3. So was I.... but that's a different story for an entirely different forum 😜
  4. Mine did the same, on the passenger side, so I had to get out and click it out by hand. Next time, it worked, and has since. Hope your problem is only intermittent, as mine was. I too have an E46 325Ci Sport convertible - it's my first beemer - and it's a keeper for life. I love it. Hope you get the same satisfaction as I do.
  5. OK that's cool, there are a million and one different rims I could go with..... but I want to just keep it original. The alloy wheel refurb shop told me these are quite rare as genuine items (which these are, with their BMW stamps and markings) apparently there are many fakes around. I'm happy with the car just how it is though.
  6. What a lovely day today! I've been out and photographed my new purchase and it gives me great pleasure to share those pics with you now. I am in love with it, on this my second day of ownership, I drove it back to Norwich from Kent yesterday and it never missed a beat. Look closely and you will see that the alloys are in a terrible state; corroded, pitted, kerbed, scratched.... AWFUL. I knew this before I bought it, and it is first on my list of jobs to do on the car - I've already been and had a repair quote today. Anyway, the photos.....(those tyre marks are NOT mine, BTW!)
