  1. I have had my 2001 320d for nearly 2 years, and since owing it the spare key has been without a battery. The key opened the doors manually and would start the car. Today I decided to have a new battery installed, but unfortunately it has given me another problem. Now the key will not start the car unless I have just taken the main key out of the ignition. If I take the spare key out and put it back in again, the car will not start. I have also tried to reprogram the key to work the doors, but to no avail. Is there something I should be doing differently first?
  2. Definitely use lacquer mate as it protects the paint and gives a gloss finish
  3. Are the meyle HD much better than the non HD version?? Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
  4. My 2001 320d failed not on both lower ball joints, and I am wondering what the rough labour fee would be to fit them ?? I have priced the parts, and can get both arms and lollipop bushes for £150 from GSF. Is there anywhere cheaper that can be recommended?? EBay specials come in at £110 with the bushes. Any help appreciated Thanks Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
  5. Davel did you ever get the v14x file driver ?
  6. I was afraid of doing that in case it put extra pressure on the joints Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
  7. Right bit of an update. I have fitted the one from ECP, but as it is round, and the original was oval in shape, I find that it sits lower and is catching on a few speedbumps. Anyone else experienced anything similar? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

  11. The wife has arrived home and told me that there was a bang under the car,and then the exhaust sounded very loud. Went out and had a look and found this I am assuming that there is no way to repair it by welding due to the lack of good metal there, but just wanted to check I am after the correct replacement part lol The car is a 2001 320d 136bhp This is what ECP threw up http://www.eurocarparts.com/mobile/ecp/c/BMW_3+Series_2.0_2001/p/car-parts/car-body-parts-and-car-exhaust/exhausts/catalytic-converter/?724110130&1&d8d659b0c8182afc6dbfe392d3fb69fb0e70739e&000059 Thanks Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
