Reddy_dieselpower_320
hi guys as some may know i have a 320 d 2003 e46 150ps ( 148bhp ) now then what is this at the wheels or at the crank? if i believe this is at crank im geussing its 122hp at wheels going off www.mk5cortinaestate.co.uk/calculator4.php and what would you reckon my bhp fiqures should be for age or car and if i had a remap etc, im getting quite confused as im trying to prove this guy at protuning that the remap he did 4months ago is a load of gobbel......... momo
It'll be a crank figure. On average you're looking at a 40bhp increase (at crank again) for a normal remap. So yours should be up to approx 190bhp.

momo
Hmmmm.. It's only 12hp off! Not far tbh.. If you want to get a proper remap and push it further towards the 200bhp mark I'd look into getting a live remap done. There's that company here in Bradford that Suhail used which does them for a decent price.
billy rogers
i would have said about 180/185 bhp from a remap myself. i had a 320CD m sport with CNL remap before my TT. if you want more power get a 270 bhp 4WD TT

suhail97
Eco tune do a package with a downpipe and remap for around 204bhp. A remap alone should see only 175-185 bhp

suhail97
where abouts are eco tune suhail Scotland, they offer the downpipe and a flash device so you can remap at home - it's £600 though

momo
If I was you i'd be getting the decat from ecotune and getting a live remap myself. I've heard of evolve. I think Litchy from here and EvoT used them for his Supercharged 330Ci. I have a remap from CNL and he's a great guy - but he can't do live remaps.. Remember so long as its not a monkey doing it a live remap will always be best.
suhail97
Some of the £600 will be for the flash drive itself so might not be great value for money - but it's a proven 200+ bhp from a 2L diesel. The down pipe + a local live remap with a rolling road session should work out cheaper.
Reddy_dieselpower_320
Momo / suhail - so if i buy downpipe from net . And where would be the best place to get a mint live map from ? Im willing to travel but no other end of country.... That maxi vag tuning box no good? And what is it plug and play? suhail97
Just do a google search for live remap + your nearest city. Once you've found a few check out their reviews. You ideally want somewhere that has a rolling road too to back up their figures. Edited September 20, 2011 by suhail97

suhail97
£350 for a map and quotes 204 bhp??? dont know if id believe that. i think he willl assume you wont get it on a RR so exagerates the figures I think that also included the downpipe. I've just emailed them to see if I can add the downpipe after a remap
Reddy_dieselpower_320
350 if just for the map, ive just paid 540 for the flash gear and downpipe! Delivred and he says those figures and he seemed well up on his knowledge of bimmas
suhail97
I'd avoid a 204bhp remap alone, that must seriously compromise reliability.
