DJ Syxx
As some of you know I have been after an M3 as the next car and wanted a Techno Violet one but missed out on one that was for sale earlier this year and since then haven't seen once since! So I decided a second choice would have to be a silver grey. Well I think I done one better and bought a Steel Gray M3! This is darker than the silver grey. I bought this nearly a month ago but kept it under wraps even though it wasn't due yet I wanted to get the car straight in for an inspection 2 which as you know is the "BIG" one. After speaking with various people and recommendations from Dips, KeithS and Lancelot from M3 Cutters I gave the car to Phil at CPC Performance in Amersham to carry out the work. I decided as it was going in, to replace a few common bits that go on these as a recommendation from my mate who owns the Topaz blue, so ordered from Cotswold BM the Control Pressure Valve, Sump Plug and Gaskets. I also bought a new Oil Level Sensor as I know from experience with all E46's you will be lucky to get anymore than 10 years life out of them so got that changed as oil was to be replaced anyway. Spec wise, its a pre-facelift with black leather interior, HK setup, sunroof, gloss black window trim, 6 speed manual and has covered just over 51,000 miles. Got it back from yesterday and have given its first wash so here it is. 10bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr13bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr15bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr16bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr17bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr19bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr20bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr23bmp by djsyxx6, on Flickr18 by djsyxx6, on Flickr21 by djsyxx6, on Flickr22 by djsyxx6, on Flickr24 by djsyxx6, on Flickr25 by djsyxx6, on Flickr26 by djsyxx6, on FlickrYes I know engine bay needs a clean!27 by djsyxx6, on FlickrOld28 by djsyxx6, on FlickrNew05 by djsyxx6, on Flickr Edited October 12, 2017 by DJ Syxx WhackyWill
Rich_D
Love the colour With regard to it being 'pre-facelift' I didn't think M3's ever got the facelift? Ryan330c
Wash
Love the colour With regard to it being 'pre-facelift' I didn't think M3's ever got the facelift? When the M3 was facelifted, the rear lights were changed for LED ones but that's it. It didn't the a facelift like the coupe did. It's in a lovely colour, funky dashboard trim too lol The gearknob needs changing though theworkerbee
Rich_D
yeah, LED rears were the only change AFAIK and they can be retrofitted anyway but that's hardly a facelift IMO Edited November 11, 2011 by Rich_D

Wash
yeah, LED rears were the only change AFAIK and they can be retrofitted anyway but that's hardly a facelift IMO It's a very subtle facelift. They probably kept the front end the same because the pre-facelift front end looks more aggressive than a facelift front end.
Had0uken!
You know what, that's the first 'wood' trim that I don't hate Looks super clean from the outside! Enjoy it

DJ Syxx
yeah, LED rears were the only change AFAIK and they can be retrofitted anyway but that's hardly a facelift IMO Same could be said for the other Models pretty much most of them in the past get a facelift halfway through some not noticeable or obvious as others. Facelift M3's come with a longer boot handle also. Very nice You kept that one damn quiet! How much did she set you back out of interest? It was hard to not post up! lol. I got it for a good price thats all I'm gonna say. Very nice syxx nice to see a Propper box too! Cheers dude! Looking sweet. Calendar entry back on the cards? lol yeah we'll see eh! You know what, that's the first 'wood' trim that I don't hate Looks super clean from the outside! Enjoy it Yeah I like it as well, not too in your face. Rich_D
the good thing is though, with a private plate & LED rears you can't really tell if it's an early or a late model do you plan on fitting the LED rear lights?
