New case arrived today so I've finally built my new NAS server

/dev/mapper/vg0-diskvol 6.4T 5.1M 6.4T 1% /media/NAS01ARR01

Which in English = 6.4TB = 6400GB of storage space :DB)

Woop!

Just put a 500GB drive in my MCE setup. I'd like something fancie, but no space.

BTW, I dont even have that much storage at work :D

Old NAS is only 1.5TB and that's got 2gb free so had to be carefull with file size, will be getting some HD going tonight tho.

Rack is only 1/2 full

1u Firewall

1u Cicso Switch

1u Linksys Switch

1u Cisco Router

3u Old NAS

3u Firewall

3u Workstation

Printer+Shelf is about 4/5u

4u New NAS

1u KVM

2u for shelf and WAP

2x 2u servers but they're off at the moment

Why do you need 2 firewalls and 2 switches?

Pretty impressive for a house setup. Do you work from home or do graphics/video?

Seems a bit over kill...

I do Network Security, one of the firewalls is just for testing on, Linksys switch is 24port gigabit for the main network but doesn't do VLANS, cisco is only 100mbit so use that for DMZ vlans.

Other servers are just for my lab and are off most of the time

I don't understand any of what Adam said, but it sounds damn impressive. I'm sticking with Si and Mit on the laptop front - more than enough for my needs.
