jod246
Hi, i had the three yellow lights come on the dash so took it to my local dealer that said knackered ABS module, so as BMW wanted £1400 plus VAT i sourced a second hand one with the same part numbers as advised. (Its pretty poor when a £1400 part fails at 34k miles) Anyway...... now this is fitted its throwing up fault code 5E1F, I was under the impression that if the part numbers were the same it should really be fit, clear codes and away i go but this doesnt seem to be the case. Its as if ifs not able to read the ECU Im tempted to split the new second hand one and fit my old ECU to it as the 5E1F code wasnt showing before, does anybody know if this is possible and likely to work? Thanks in advance
Mikey
Have a look through the topic below. I think it maybe because the second hand one is recognising the VIN is a different car by the looks of thingd. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=895699
