E46KL
I had also managed to miss the bonnet not merging... Other than that it looks amazing! sive s
sive s
I have a feeling that the designer thought that by putting it like that. The bmw emblem will be more noticeable, especially when you put the bonnet up. Especially to the people who cant tell the difference between different car makes. But still this kind of spoils a really nice car.
F07GT Steve
Just wet my self,,,,, Not through old age for a change M4 looks very nice, still to much money but lets hope i win the lottery...... sive s
momo
If BMW decided to drop the M3 just because it's no longer coupe they'd be shooting themselves in the foot! The M3 badge is still the M3 badge. The M4 needs to be marketed alongside the M3 so yes there will be an M3 as mneth1986's post..
Carlosos
Can't wait for a few years time when you can get a decent one of these for 7k like you can the e46 m3 lol. Very nice want one! sive s
YemiTheOne
From Autoblog our source says the upcoming F82 M4 will arrive with a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) as standard equipment – with no manual option – just like the latest iteration of the track-ready Porsche GT3 If true that is pretty disappointing. I personally wouldn't really go for anything other than a manual M3, unless the alternative was a very good deal. Why do manufacturers insist on telling us what we want when it comes to transmission options.
X-Man
Why? Because they are not selling cars to 'drivers', they are selling cars to rich people who want to be able to sit at dinner parties or stand in the 'club' and say "DCT" a lot and spout b******s like "it changes gear quicker than you can blink" etc etc Wash
JHL
It looks stunning, stylish yet aggressive. People say BMW are a drivers car but i have to add to that. Its also an admirers car and that is perfect example. Ill have one in 20 years lol

keano
Had a call from a dealer yesterday about this. The m4 is out in oct and the m3 will follow in early 2014. Was told they will have some very interesting deals on release.... Still wont be buying one brand new but if they think thy can tempt me to buy one and i told them i cant but if they want to then I'm going to let them continue to try lol Totally had missed the line in the bonnet too!! Perhaps that says something but now I have seen it, its very obvious all of a sudden. On the gearbox discussion, have a look on pistonheads as there is an interesting piece they've done on the subject... Schumacher
Apparently both the M3 & 4 will come with a 6-speed manual box as standard with an optional 7-speed DCT. Engine is a 430hp straight-six twin-turbo and they're aiming for a sub-1500kg kerb weight.
coop
Car looks awesome. But certain things they can improve. The bonnet looks abit off especially at the bottom. preferred the e46 style where it merged with the grill. 100% agree with this, do not like that ugly shut line across the bottom of the bonnet, big step backwards imo. other than that it looks mint. too big tho for me, maybe the 2-series will be more similar in size to the e46 coupe. momo
Watched MotoGP at the weekend and at the start when the pace car heads off you can hear the exhaust - don't know what people are talking about! Sounds pretty "fruity" to me!! I wouldn't say no! Still don't agree with the turbo formula but it's growing on me (more learning to accept it). It was behind me, thought it was the new 5 series, but when it went past, i was like wtf, Damn it looked nice. Gives the beasty look. Similar to the e46 m3.
