Anyone know of any Financial Controller / Finance Manager roles going?

Bit of a random question but never hurts to cast a wide net

If anyone knows of any Financial Controller / Finance Manager roles going in the NW (Preston/Blackpool/Manchester etc.) can they let me know? I know someone with a bucketload of experience looking for a new position in that sort of area

Yep I know that but this guy has family (wife, child, parents, family home, etc.) up here. If he were single and unattached I'd be the first telling him to get his arse down to the Big Smoke but it's just not a practical solution, unfortunately

Get him to weigh the cost of being away from family during the week against putting food on the table etc. It's no different to a soldier going on tour except that he can go home every week instead of every 6 months.

Harsh maybe, but times are hard... Plus a job like that will pay £££ down here so he could probably move his family!

Loads of it in London. I even commuted for a year from Bournemouth to London as that was better than taking a role down south.

There are always some good roles on the CIMA / ACCA websites. But if he works in the industry, I would say get involved on LinkedIn - you normally hear about stuff from old colleagues etc.

Other option is to go into consultancy, and sign up with an agency.
