TriggerFish
50minutes to Stockholm it says... Imagine finding that amount of land/sized price within 50 minutes of London!
Sam
We're both about 50 minutes from london. that'd be 2mil around here, and I'm quite rural, much like that place.

BmEagle
Just signed contract for replacement 4m x 3m conservatory. Highest quote was 18k. A couple of others were 11k. Friend recommended local firm who make the units for the other firms and also do installations 8.1k. Exactly the same units as the 11k quotes. It desperately needs replacing as it is a wooden frame which is knackered and the glass is steamed up. I told the Mrs I could get a nice M3 for that. She pointed out that it will transform the look of the house and will give us another useable room. To which I replied "I could get a nice M3 for that" Megadodo and Ashley1995

Rob-
Unless you know what parts of Sweden are "good", how do you know if it's good value. Much like the UK, the more north, the money you can get for your money. I have a 2 bed house, but up north I'd be looking at a 5 bed house with double garage. It's grim up here though. You wouldn't want to live up north. TriggerFish

Sam
I dropped my iphone a few days ago, and it's damaged the screen badly. It's sad to think how much I rely on it. I suppose a lot of it is not critical, surfing etc, but it plays a big part of my life. It wakes me up in the morning, it plays me music when I'm driving, it helps me pass the time whilst laying a log, enables me to check the zone to ensure it's ok from my sofa, streams videos to my TV. Hell, I even use the screen as a torch when I go to bed! New one arrives today, additional case ordered, hopefully it'll prevent the damage that happened this time. Although I hate cases on them. Ditch the case and get a tempered glass protector - best compromise. Next time you drop the phone, at worst the glass protector shatters but the phone is safe, so you just get another one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Scratch-Terminator-Tempered-Glass-Protector-Premium/dp/B00EOO1RHS Others are available .... Sam
That's what I had. It dropped on the edge, so the glass didn't come into contact.
Mikey
Had a minor accident in my mini. Clashed door mirrors on narrow country lane near my house. Both cars door mirrors clean off. Other driver in Audi A4. Very angry man, saying it was my fault and consistently calling me a C U Next Tuesday. Naturally I wasn't very helpful and just said let's go through the insurance. He wanted me to accept responsibility but I just repeated about going through the insurance. Continued calling me a C U Next Tuesday and in between said if we go through the insurance it'll be knock for knock. Wow, genius so no ones fault then! Anyway wouldn't exchange details and took photos of my car and ended with saying I know where you live (he doesn't) and I'll sort this by other means so we shall see. Reported it to local police anyway to be on the safe side. Think he wanted to intimidate me but wasn't really working. Personally I think he had no insurance as he had no intention in exchanging details from the outset. Just bought replacement mirror from EBay for £35 so no major hardship on my side. He was a very angry man. Think he was expecting a bird to get out as he walked aggressively to my car as my little runabout has blacked out windows front and back. Don't think he was expecting a 6ft 1in guy to get out and not be bothered by his threats. He definitely had a bit of little man syndrome going on. Rob-
Slightly worried for a mate who's on a flight from Dubai to Bangkok at the moment. Hope there's no more trouble there (not to undermine what has already happened).

Sam
You're going to believe the guardian?! It does get silly, house prices 3 times between the locations, but salaries only double. (I say only double...) I could buy a house out right in some of their examples, yet have 32 years left on my mortgage, thats £1k a month, down south.
