Jadedmeanie
Ok, so i took my 330 auto to my local indie because the gearbox light came on a few times. They quoted me £400 to change the oil. I thought about it for a few days and they were due to change it yesterday. Then they called me and said they dont think it will solve the problem ?so im picking it up today . Looks like ill have to do it myself. Any tips at all? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
harmzsingh
There's a guide on the e36 coupe forum - just ensure you use the correct oil and follow the proper ZF procedure and you'll be fine. £400 is an absolute rip off though. It's £80-100 for oil, and £40-50 for the filter and sump gasket, and should take about an hour if you've got the right tools - i.e. a decent fluid transfer pump. Old Tennis Shoes
There's a youtube video of how to do it - Theres a question about whether you need to flush it through, to get the old oil through the torque converter.
