330cian
I have the Harmon Kardon system in my 2001 330ci, with the TV unit in the headset. I'd be very grateful with help on these 2 issues: 1) The CD player has stopped working. It comes up saying 'No Discs' even when there are discs. 2) What's the best way to connect my ipod to this unit. Any part numbers gratefully received! Thanks, Ian. jammo
1, is this the cd player or cd changer, as you say discs? 2, a lead that plugs into the cd changer port on the back of the cd player and you route through desired area of the dash. I think someone sells the cable on here but there is plenty on ebay. 330cian
Nomad231
You can also plug your iPod into your TV Tuner and get both video and music from your iPod. It is only in Mono audio so maybe not good enough for your needs - but it is another option. 330cian
Rob-
For the first problem, I'd put a lense cleaning CD in the changer. If that doesn't work, give the CD changer a slap. If it still doesn't work then it's probably going to be a replacement changer from a breaker who accepts returns. You could just replace the CD changer with an IPod adapter and kill two birds with one stone. Edited July 29, 2014 by Rob- 330cian
Chimp Choker
I have an oem mp3 changer for sale at the moment www.bobsbmw.co.uk
330cian
It must be the CD changer. I'll try 'giving it a slap'!! This is within my skill-set! If this doesn't work, I'll buy a cable and get the ipod connected. Next question: How do you get the head unit out?!
TriggerFish
Remove the trim above the glovebox, then the bit above the radio. Then there's two screws holding it in.
jammo
Has the cd changer got all the 6 slots filled? Mine wouldn't read if it wasn't full and the cds were not in the right number order slots
