She's 28 and still has no concept of the value of stuff, even though she has to fund herself. To her, everything is replaceable. "It's broken. So what? I'll just get a new one." ..........And this is from a person who earns NMW on a 35hr week. She's never managed to save one penny, everything she earns gets spent. I'm trying to wipe/refresh it ready for sale, and I'd forgotten how horrible these things were! The OS is vile (IMO), and they've clearly been designed by someone that had no concept of 'user serviceable'. To top it off, the PSU fan spins at 100% speed unless slowed down by software, and due to the horrible closed-ness of OSX, I have no idea why (And add in the fact that a fresh install of El Capitan (what a crap name) has wiped Apple's hardware test tool off the SSD, and I'm not impressed!) Try changing a CPU on one of those... or ANY piece of hardware on it. You should be able to sort out the hardware test & fan settings in the EFI, at least you could on the earlier models, but have fun with that I used to work on Apple kit, everyone else at the company was jealous because "it's Apple..." only if they knew how awful the design was from a techs perspective. lynch86 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ArfurSleep Posted November 3, 2015 Report Share Posted November 3, 2015 1) Yes it's this time of year again,drivers with DRL that illuminate their dashboard but drive without knowing that they've not got any decent front or rear lights that other motorists can see.2) Throughout the UK we've had really bad fog everywhere that i've been (up Norf ) but some drivers put their rear fog lights on at the slightest bit of mist AND keep them on even when it's clear!3) When stationary in traffic ie traffic lights,etc i always use my handbrake when stopped,i even used to do it before i fitted the really bright LED rear lights. This morning my retina's were destroyed by being behind a HUGE Audi Whatseveritscalled that looked like Blackpool Illuminations & i'm sure generated enough light to be seen from Space,why?. I've also even seen a rather large amount of people who somehow manage to ONLY have fogs on.LED DRL's seem to be another common 'replacement' for lights too. Stonesie Posted November 3, 2015 Report Share Posted November 3, 2015 Yep it's been another day of thick fog, more numpties with no lights or just DRL's and even one guy in a Hyundai coupe who thought that high beams were better and that he didn't have to wait for me to pass when his side of the road was blocked (lots of parked cars and I was already well into the gap)...
