Zonda_
Estate please, were not Yanks...! BMW don't call them estates so I'm not I wasn't referring to your comment, I was referring to the American term of shooting brake. BMW can call them what they like but the body style is an estate. Jay.
No, touring CharlE46, troublesome84 and M3NXN
Zonda_
No it isn't, it's like Audi calling their convertibles foldy tops, the body style is an Estate, as any insurance, part look up, Autotrader type site will indicate, put in Touring and you'll find nothing. Jay.
I think bmw have been calling their estates touring in the UK for the past 30 odd years
Jay.
If you type in bmw touring in auto trader I guarantee you'll get a million results. If you type in shooting brake you'll probably get none

Sam
A shootings brake is a coupe shape with 4 doors, not an estate, touring or anything else.
jut
anyway, pleased with it and its scrubbed up nicely. I was a little surprised that it does seem a bit more lively than the previous car (2.9 with manual box) although it is an auto, it also feels a bit fresher with 50k less on the clock. I was thinking about retro fitting xenons to it but the only ones I can find for sale at the minute are a lot of money.
lynch86
Very nice! BMW make some of the prettiest 'estates' IMO. Shooting brakes originated in England. So posh people could fit all there guns and sandwiches in the back when they went out shooting endangered species.

TriggerFish
back when they went out shooting endangered species. Ah, the good old days... They do look best as estates though! lynch86
