blakeya1975
Hi All, Still pondering what to do with my supension. Im currently running Eibach Pro-kit on my 320i SE Loon with standard dampers. The dampers are due for replacement as well are the top mounts. I have the choice of Eibach Pro-kit or Sportline springs (I have both in my posession). Firstly, I am undecided whether to go with Bilstein B4 or B6 dampers. Also, Bilstein offer two different types in each range, normal chassis or sports. Can I fit either or do i need a particular model?. Can anybody with experience of fitting either with the eibach springs please share there experiences to enable me to make an informed decision? I am after a firm planted, well handling ride but without to much harshness. I prefer the lowered look but don't want the car to be slammed on the deck. I am 40 years old and like a little comfort...:-) All help much appreciated Kind Regards Andy
Rich330ci
i have been using Bilstein B4's with eibach pro's for about 2 years now, no comfort issues at all and i couldn't recommend them enough! i used Bilsteins website to get the part numbers which fit mine, but no one did them as sets then so had to buy all the shockers individually! just checked my order email and i bought the Msport versions. I don't suppose you still have the part numbers Rich? I've tried the website but they only seem to show ones for the standard suspension models. Could do with a set for my Clubsport. blakeya1975
Rich, Cheers for the reply. I assume that you have/had sports suspension fitted to you car as standard? My 320i SE Loon is running non-sports dampers. Do you know if i can get away with running the Sport version of the B4 or should I go for the standard chassis B4's? Cheers Andy

Cheers Andy I'd go for the standard ones. I've no doubts the sports will fit but they will cost you more and give you no real benefit. Unless you are planning on changing your springs too? blakeya1975
I am going to run either Eibach Pro-kit or Eibach sportlines. Sounds like the standard B4's will do the job.
CharlE46
I would have also said go with the B4's over the B6's for comfort but see you've already come to that conclusion, they'll work really well with the Eibach springs. Mine has the B12 kit fitted that has either the B6 or B8's shocks and the ride is very firm.
blakeya1975
Do you think that the Eibach sportlines will work ok with the B4's. Bilstein are stating that the B4 is not designed for lowering springs..;-(

Bilstein are stating that the B4 is not designed for lowering springs..;-( I would have thought so as most people just fit the sportline springs on their standard oe shocks and the B4s are designed as a replacement. As long as the spring is correctly (and securely) seated in the spring pads they'l work as they should.

Bilstein are stating that the B4 is not designed for lowering springs..;-( I'm sure bilstein say they can run with up to 40mm lowering springs, unless that is what the Msport version of B4's can do?
