Cabin Heat Reduction

Recommended Posts

I'm off on a trackday on friday and when i test drove the car yesterday (pug 205) it was like a green house in there! That was in shorts and t shirt which is also not allowed on the day.

It only has a slider on the drivers side window so was wondering if anyone had any ideas to cool down the cabin, the side windows are all perspex so thought i may just cookie cutter some holes in the passenger side.

It does have the blower in it but didn't seem to do a lot in this heat.

Grin and bear it i reckon.

Worst part is when it starts to overheat and you also have to stick the heaters on full, lol.

You could run a vent with some flexi tubing from the rear windows and direct it towards your body like they do on some of the touring and rally cars.

I think you can get battery and USB powered mini air conditioners can't you? Might be worth a try.

Lets hope she doesn't start overheating then, that would be torture!

Like you say there isn't a great deal that can be done and I've left it till the last minute as per usual.

Gonna look up some vents and see what i can do.

Just had a look and ordered a duct and some flexi pipe, i'm hoping that will help a bit.

Other than that I'm gonna suck it up Lol

Last time it was raining so I was praying for a dry track this time but this heat is a bit excessive.
