Recommended Posts

I'm going to do an engine detail but unsure of what i need to cover, or can i just jet-wash the whole engine without worrying about ruining the engine?

degreaser, let it soak in for 5 minutes, agitate any bad areas with a small brush, rinse with water, RINSE do not power wash.

Leave to dry then spray on some plastics protector.

you should be left with something like this. 2011-12-09134525.jpg

Power wash is fine as long as you use a very fine spray to rinse and not a concentrated jet. I had mine done at Onkars open day by an Autoglym rep. He used some tfr, let it soak for 5 minutes, no faffing about with brushes and rinsed with cold water. Zero issues.

Looked good didn't it. He didn't even wait for it to dry and applied some yellow coloured stuff to give the finish you see there.

AFE kit.

Same as this one http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1365-afe-intake-kit-e46-323ici-328ici-325ici-x3-25i-stage-1-pro5r.aspx

Apparantly This air intake system produces 20 max horsepower, 27lbs. x ft. torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 76% ( MANUFACTURER'S FIGURES).

But for me it just makes an amazing noise. ha

I got the carbon fibre scoop separately though.
