bloodworm
I`m going to refurb my alloys with Simoniz 5 wheel silver, each wheel will have a fair few coats of primer and then the top coat silver. however will they need a clearcoat finish? would this give more protection or just enhance the finish and make cleaning easier, if advised which clearcoat would work best with the Simoniz?. Of course pics will come on as before and after, just hope the next week is favourable. cheers keith.
bloodworm
Just seen simoniz also do an acrylic clear laquer, seems like I`ve answered my own question, Doh!!!!! Anyway, has anyone used the laquer to finish of the silver? all comments are valued chaps.
barachello
Definitely use lacquer mate as it protects the paint and gives a gloss finish

bloodworm
It is a rattle can job mate, I`ve got everything apart from the lacquer, just need some decent weather next week as I`ve a week off work and lots of stuff planned to do on the car.
