330dsupertourer
I've been busy doing a few other bits to the car, won a set of oem xenons from eBay so got those fitted... It needed a new windscreen due a crack in the old one so had the comfort titanium coated screen fitted replaced the cigarette lighter with a dual port usb for charging phones etc I've also given the car a full service, egr & cooler delete, just really got the car into a nice state of readiness really! 330dsupertourer
Thanks! It's coming on well, I'm pleased with it. I've had it mapped, nothing to savage just a nice mix of performance and drivability didn't want to be putting heaps of torque through the old girl! Next plans are to move onto the drivetrain start polybushing it all or meyle hd, still not made my mind up which really! TERKIN

330dsupertourer
So my day started well, the sun was shining so I decided it was time to finish my egr delete and egr cooler delete... So I did. 18mm id silicone caps to blank off the water pipes to.. So let it warm up, bled the system and decided to go for a drive! All was well and I was a happy man, stopped at my local euro car parts to get some silver tech bulbs for the back, got my bulbs, got in the car, started it up and I was instantly greeted by a terrible smell of burning rubber and the battery light on! Oh dear! So I popped the bonnet, had a look and none of my ancillaries were turning yet the crank was, so I decided to cut the aux belt and see what was seizing, nothing that I could find, so I assumed perhaps just a knackered aux belt. Grabbed a new one and off I went home to get it fitted, what fun that was with no power steering and the heaters on full chat! So jacked up, tray off and what do I find but this... Bottom crank pulley has decided to separate! Thank fully Euro car parts had one on the shelf! Got it swapped over which was far easier than I thought it was going to be, new belts fitted, little test and all was good in the hood again! 330dsupertourer
id probably be the same if im honest, trouble is i always buys dogs so im forced underneath or into the bonnet first Thing is though mate these car are at an age now where even if you buy a sensible mileage one, with history etc they will still need £££ throwing at them as rubber does perish, metal suffers from fatigue so in my opinion it's as broad as it is long! So why not buy one that you already know needs love and save yourself the shock! The_Judge_, Paddybrown23 and TERKIN

330dsupertourer
Nice knob [emoji23] Is it much shorter and heavier than a e46 one? It's heavier than a clubsport etc and is fractionally shorter. It's just something different more than anything! Edges

330dsupertourer
It's not super heavy but it's nice! Car is driving me mad at the mo! Everytime I fix something, something else gives up! It'll get there in the end I'm sure. I had a creaking from the back end, replaced the subframe bushes! And still no joy! I found the offending item.... The floor! That's right the floor! It's all fixed now.! Basically the spot welds had pulled ever so slight due to the Torque! But the floor was ultimately still in one piece with no crack! So a little open heart surgery late and it was all fixed! Lucky to say the least!
