devilsadvocate Posted January 7, 2017 Report Share Posted January 7, 2017 I have a 2002 325Ci in the UK I know what you're thinking, the drain plug is 17mm and is on the side of the sump? I'm under the car and there is not a single 17mm plug there! Having changed oil on cars before, I know what a sump plug looks like. I have removed the whole cover, there was not flap so the whole cover needed to come off. All I can see on the drivers side of the sump is a small thread where it looks like a drain plug should be but it's not there. Am I going mad? It was serviced by a garage a year ago when I bought it. On the back of the block really, didn't look there as I wasn't expecting it to be so far back.
