jools182
Has anyone tried an aftermarket disa valve? I have seen the repair kits as well, but I'm wondering if I should get one from the local bmw dealers?
JayP07
Not sure if my one is the same as yours dude but I've looked into repairing mine before and ended up just going for a new one... lasted a few years and now it has started rattling again... its such an annoying over priced shoddy piece of kit and when it goes it can really get loud jools182
jools182
It is a shonky device. Must cost all of about £10 to manufacture. That pin in the flap is a joke. How much are they from a dealers?
Ruesta
I've repaired mine on both my 328Ci and my current 330Ci with the kit I6 do - they are great kits, easy to install and solve the problem so shouldn't need messing with again. LV426
These is youtube vid to confirm if yours is working, I removed mine took it apart and all seemed good, you put your thumb over a hole and the vacuum holds should be good to go, unless you have wear with cam and gearing etc.
jools182
Ruesta Is the flap and cam on their repair kit aluminium?

And the pin which can fall into the intake on the OEM DISA is replaced with one that screws in from the other side so it can't fall into the intake.
