BimmianS54
Hi Im new to this forum and wondering if anyone can help me. First of all my car is a 2003 e46 saloon facelift with halogen headlights. Now what i want to do is fit Bi-Xenons to my car which come from a 2003 M3. I have retrofitted the lights to my car and they start to flicker when car is started. Which i knew would happen (based on reading hundreds of threads) Now i need help to code my lcm for the bi-xenons, I have the relevant Bmw software (INPA, DIS, INPA etc) and cable but by the life of me cannot get my head around Using NCS Expert. I also wanted to ask if i can still use the manual headlight adjuster? as it was stated by someone in another thread on this forum. Im willing to travel to someone if they can help me within the Manchester area and would pay them if need be. Or if they can help me with a step by step approach. On a side note i know this has been discussed in hundreds of threads but i cant find a proper answer or a how to. Will be much appreciated Thank You Edited June 18, 2017 by BimmianS54
dontpannic
Download NCS Dummy, it makes the process so much easier. First of all, you need to add $522 to your vehicle order:http://www.infsq.co.uk/2014/01/changing-bmw-vehicle-order-using-ncs-expert/ Then, you need to adjust your options. Follow this guide until it starts talking about opening the FSW/PSW file in Notepad. Open NCS Dummy Select chassis (E46) Open trace file -> load FSW/PSW Filter modules by -> loaded file You should then get a list of options and tickboxes to select options. Manual levelling - scroll to the bottom, untick Dynamic Headlamp adjustment, untick Automatic Headlamp adjustment. Hit Export FSW/PSW. Back into NCS Expert, hit "Change Job", change it to "SG_CODEIREN", then Execute Job. Once it says "Coding Ended", all done Edited June 23, 2017 by dontpannic

dontpannic
Just got back off holiday myself. You don't need NCSDummy, but it makes life a hell of a lot easier.
