330d m/sport

Recommended Posts

Hiya guys

Ok so after my non-fault accident with my 318 touring, i decided to buy myself a 330d touring.

Don’t really have any issues with it…. The only thing is the ride height... its low like very low and Am not liking it.

So the question is......

Does anyone know the average (standard) ride hight for the 330d m///sport?

SORRY ABOUT THE PICS CANT SEEM TO ROTATE THEM!!!!

If need be, I could try measuring the distance from tyre to wheel arch for you.
Is yours on coilovers?

I’m yet to find out…. not had a chance to get the car up on lifts etc…..

mines like .05cm from the arch

maybe try measuring from centre of wheel (badge) to arch please

Okay, so from the centre of the wheel badge to the arch is 360mm on the front and 345mm on the rear.
Not sure if the rear measurement is of any use to you, as arches may be different from coupe to touring.

Deffo lowered. You'll have to poke around to find out what it's on. If it's only lowering springs and standard shocks, I've got a set of BMW springs from my Saloon in the for sale section (not sure if Saloon/Touring springs are interchangeable).

If the kit you take off is in good condition you could easily sell it on.

Looks like a subtle drop, nothing crazy.

This is mine and any lower, i'd start losing more bits from the underside. Already lost an aerodynamic strip :(

I’m not to sure either….. but to be honest the rear looks ok its just the front.. like its kissing the floor lol!

what engine size do you have as i know that a key factor in lowering your car. I’ve still not had a chance to have a look what and how its been lowered I’m hoping its coilovers well save me so much hassle

Mines the 204bhp 3.0ltr diesel.

Tbh yours looks like it's about as low as mine. I've got Eibach Pro kit springs with standard shocks.

I'd say if you had coilovers - surely the rear would be wound down lower?

Obv. just a guess..

Foglight cover:

Or i'd imagine the local BMW dealer - can't be that much surely if Amazon are doing genuine ones for £8.50 each?

My new 330d with M Sport 2 package is factory suspension and looks very similar to yours in height, i'm not convinced yours has been lowered, its probably just sagged a bit....

trying to attach a picture of mine but it says I have a limit of 4MB, even though the picture is 1.5MB

As for the roof bars, I removed them off my 2004 320d touring and wrapped black duck tape around the plastic strips before putting them back in. It looks pretty good but more importantly I gained 3 - 4 mpg, now I can get 700 miles out of a tank.
