Obioban
I'm removing the roof rack on my (M3 converted) e46 touring. Under the roof rack trim, there are 6 brackets held on by 12 bolts. The bracket I'm talking about are part #3 in this diagram:http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=AW33-USA-06-2001-E46-BMW-325i&diagId=51_3963 With the bracket removed, there are 12 holes that go through into the cabin of the car, which I can't imagine BMW left unplugged. On cars that came without a roof rack from the factory, what did BMW use to plug those holes? (all cars in the USA came with roof racks, so I have no reference cars here). Thanks in advance! dontpannic
Pretty sure all E46 tourings have roof rails from the factory. Ref plugging them up, either rubber grommets or just weld the holes up if you're not planning on refitting.
