ben.acheson123
Hi guys, I'm 20 years old and just bought a 2005 e46 320d and i'm looking at doing a few bits and bobs to it. First thing was change the exhaust tip on it, it is a single nozzle (not sure of the right terminology lol) and i want to put a single to double tip on it but the exhaust bends down. Can I saw off the end so it's straight then put the new single to double tip on or would i be better replacing the full system? Cheers. momo
Better to replace, yes.. But if you want to save £££'s then you can get someone to cut the tip off after the backbox and weld a new double tip on. Beware though the rear diffuser you have is designed for a single tip. You'll need one for a double tip OR be prepared to cut it to make room.
sneeker
With regards to the diffuser, there are moulding marks on the back of the diffuser where the twin cutout is... so you can trim along this line to make it into a double cutout.
