TriggerFish
Does opening it trigger/cancel the interior light (or the light on the dashboard?). I'm wondering if the sensor/switch to tell it the door is open has failed?
martauto
Well I tried all of this and all is good so I put my hand on the window when opening and closing the door and it worked as normal !!! I would like to say it was "sway tinted " beer goggles but I was at work. Cheers anyway.
TriggerFish
Free fix is always good! (Just as long as it doesn't re-occur!) My sister's MINI did this a few times when I've borrowed it off her, but it was never an ongoing problem. It's been sold to an old school friend of mine, and it's fine for her too (so far as I know!), so I'd just put it down as one of those things for now

martauto
I have just been out to see what is going on with the windows and think that somehow the affected ones were not all the way up to the top. I lowered them a bit and put them back up and they are both fine now. Mart.
