Cotswold BMW are you kidding me? those w**k artists down in Cheltenham not only systematically f**ked up my 7 week old m3 back in 2005 I had to take them to court to get myy money back after it popped it's headgasket! brand new car you'd never expect it. Story goes - My new m3 overheated so got it towed in, they said it was the thermostat had welded open. Nope... after that was replaced started to drive home, overheated again, replace thermo again, drove home again trailer again costwold BMw again you get the picture. Long story short the bastrad sounded like a tank, took it back in and some young apprentice started it up and started revving it even though I told him not too... Engine droped it's conrods with a load bang and a ching ching ching round the side of Cotswold BMW. I get told when I asked the what the f*ck had gone on that the guy who started and was revving the car was a 17 year old apprentice and therefore wasn't insured to do warranty work and COSTWOLD bmw were not responsible as the insurance didn't cover it and he wan't insured to carry work unsupervised. Needless to say i got my £48k back through court after 12 month but I'd stay well clear of those w****rs.... period...
momo
Might not be good at doing work on cars (most dealers are the same, they get apprentices to do the work while the qualified techs sit back to be fair) - but BMW parts are BMW parts. Can't fault them for part delivery! I know my local BMW dealership are seriously sh*t! ...And then I found out they sub-contract all the properly technical work to a local BMW specialist.. I now use that BMW specialist.
Natejames
So two weeks in to owning my new car and some c**t has kicked my mirror off and caused a dent while at it. livid! paid nearly two grand over the average for this example for not having body issues. scumbags. Any differences in wing mirrors apart from m3 and electric folding ones. Thanks
momo
Dam. Sorry to hear that! Can the dent be pulled straight? I think it just depends on the connector type - standard pin/connector setup or ribbon cable I think? Some right little sh*ts around these days who think it's ok to damage other people's property for LULZ. I'd love to smash their faces "fur lulz".. Natejames
Hoping it can be popped out. So I have the 6 pin (5wire) connector... anybody with a sport passenger mirror available?
momo
I think the door mirrors are the same regardless of sport/SE. You're probably best off posting on one of the Facebook groups for spare parts. The 2 main breakers I've used before are Nick Jupp and Las Erikas (both tagged) Nick in particular is awesome! But obviously depends if he's got the part in stock or not.. Edited February 13, 2018 by momo Natejames
Natejames
Sport has gloss black mirror base as opposed to Matt. Thanks for the recommendations! momo

Natejames
Oil service completed. was slightly disappointed to find a vortex breather already installed but a replacement can't hurt! just changed the mirror cap over to the replacement I sourced, should have that on after I've had lunch. Natejames
Looking to purchase some front wishbones tonight but I'm slightly unsure now. was going to get the meyle HD's but have now seen there is a difference in m sport and non m sport arms. can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance
momo
Sport arms are stronger/stiffer over the SE ones. Meyle HD ones are stronger than both and allow for the ball joints to be replaced without replacing the arms. Meyle HD fit all E46 models apart from M3. They're deffo the way to go.. Natejames
Thanks So no difference in arm shape/length ball joint angle?
momo
I've only heard one person (Ever) complain about that.. In reality once fitted you wont know the difference and when you go to get your wheel alignment done it'll still be within spec. Natejames
just had this email back from meyle.
momo
B&B Components is not Meyle.. This is a company I use very often: http://www.allgermanparts.co.uk/default/car-parts/control-arm-set-14483.html Check the Meyle catalogue if you want: https://www.meyle.com/en/service-centre/online-catalogue/ Part No: MCK0015HD It's compatible with all E46's except the M3. No idea where B&B are getting their info from.. They sound like they don't know what they're selling - BUT they're the cheapest seller atm on Amazon. In the end, it's your decision. Natejames
Picture was confusing, that email was direct from meyle. B&B was who they were recommending. Thanks for the help mate, have gone for the HD's.
coop
i fitted meyle hd's to my msport about 4-5 years ago. haven't had any problems, although a wheel alignment guy did once comment that he couldn't quite get the alignment 100% spot on due to non-standard wishbones being fitted. car used to fail mot every year on front wishbone bushes, has never failed once since having the meyle hd's fitted. Natejames
Right im back. Stuggled getting signed back in for months but im here. Been busy while away. Done front and rear discs and pads. Meyle hd wishbones. Meyle hd front drop links. Lemforder front roll bar bushes. Lemforder full steering arms both sides. Had a while alignment done today and here are the results. Not sure if I'm 100% convinced it's been done correct.
