Ift_Arrey Posted September 4, 2018 Report Share Posted September 4, 2018 HI ALL e46 318ci man Aug 2002 N42B engine 188k miles Located Walsall West Mids ===== I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM SINCE I CHANGED OIL IN MARCH 2018, EML ON PERMENANTLY AND LIMP MODE COMES ON INTERMITTENLY. It sometimes idles rough and the needle on the revs goes up and down and goes below 1 on the counter just before car would stall. My mechanic used Castrol GTX 5w-30w oil - in the green plastic 4L bottle. Spark Plugs + oil filter was changed. The car has good fuel economy now I have lost that it is greedy on fuel.
