Eduardo Barata
Hi guys newbie here. Short story got myself a bmw e46 320d 2003 5 speed manual, unfortunately the propshaft is gone, my propshaft is the one with the cv joint boot that connects to the diff. Now believe it or not I've called every place searching for the same one (part nr 7523917) and noooobody has the damn propshaft apparently it's a rare one obviously. So getting desperate now I thought about replace the propshaft for a normal not rare one without the cv joint and get the diff from that propshaft also. My question is it gonna straight fit? I know my diff ratio is 2.35 and I'll get one off the same 5 speed model. Is the sane length straight swap? By all means if anyone got one let me know too. Please guys help I need badly the car on the road.

momo
Your best bet is to call around all the breakers to try to find one or see if you can get a hold of a refurbed one. I'd be amazed if anyone knew the answer to your question tbh.. Give German car spares in Kent (https://www.germancarspareskent.com/) a call - it's run by Nick Jupp. That guy knows his stuff and service is 2nd to none. R11CH
Nick Jupp would know the answer and most likely have what you need. https://www.facebook.com/German-CAR-Spares-KENT-802791319809032/
