Chilledskidder
Hiya I own an 320D E46 i have brought an remapped ecu that came with an ews box and key for it, today I have plugged it all in when I turned the ignition on I encountered an engine management light with the noise of the fuel pumps priming went to turn the engine over and it doesnt crank over so I had an idea to plug my original ews module back in and try turn the engine over again now the engine management light is still on fuel pumps are still priming but sounds half asked but cranks over like normal but wont start wondering if anyway knows how to bypass the ews or is this a different problem Remapped ecu is a m47 2004 mine is a 2002 Edited December 27, 2019 by Chilledskidder
momo
Apologies, I can't help but why didn't you just remap the original ECU? Why replace?

momo
Just seen the edit.. The 2004 car has completely different engine management to the 2002. The 2002 will be M47 The 2004 will be M47N You may have fried something! Get specialist diagnostics on it to start with!
