Hi, have had a dynavin in my 330 coupe since the beginning of the year and I didnt realise it had a PDC function. Does this need to be wired up for the headunit to display the PDC, or should it just work?

All steering wheel controls etc and OBD stuff works so I know its connected. Even with the setting changed to PDC it doesn't display anything when i put it in reverse.

Any help would be appreciated chaps!

Just wanted to say after a lot of reading and buying some adapters. The HK speakers are already in a plastic adapter ring which will fit better than any piece of mdf or abs you can buy from eBay. I had not read this anywhere so wasted £6. Peel the tiny metal tabs back and remove, then orientate your speaker to suit your application pop a few pilot holes in and screw it down. I also used some foam tape in the sandwich but it’s probably not necessary, bmw used glue.

	Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some advice please. I have a 2002 BMW E46 330i which had the Navigation/TV/CD/Cassette player stereo head unit. I want to replace this with another head unit but I am not sure what wiring adapters I need to buy. The old unit only had two connectors (one blue and one white) and I was expecting the wiring to be different.

I would appreciate any advice on what wiring/cables/adapters I need to buy. I'm looking to install a Sony XAV-AX200. Please see the attached pictures for reference.

	Thanks for looking

Finally got round to fitting my reverse camera this morning in the freezing cold but can't get it working. I've got positive and negative wires for the led which I've connected to the existing no plate lights so that's fine.

its then got the RCA cable with what looks like small power wire on each end as well. I've run the RCA to the head unit "cam in" connector but not connected the power wire to anything.

its also got another connector which runs to a red and black wire, which I have connected to the +/- on the reverse light.

Im not getting any picture on the headunit. It's the erisin 2046gb.

Is it that the wire on the RCA needs connecting to something? Thanks

	Hi all

Question have a 330 coupe, standard audio setup,

Got a dynavin unit and fitted a jl sub through the ski hatch, but want to upgrade the speakers previous owner did put alpines in but even they sound poorly now,

Was looking at bavsound but they don't do systems for the standard systems,

So next options I've found are audison / gladen audio and hertz

All which are oem fit but pricey!

Am I right in saying I've only got four speakers and tweeters up front... Nothing in rear 1/4 panels,

Wondering what other people have done to get decent audio quality from these motors

There are two types, the 18mm (with individual switches) and the 16mm (with the long switch box).

	Hi all,

I have a 330Ci with an Erisin 6046B HU, and the DAB+ unit plugged into USB, with the aerial attached to the windscreen. But the DAB reception is so bad it's basically unusable unless you're on a road with no buildings anywhere near it.

What's the best & cheapest way to improve it? Can you use the shark fin aerial on the roof or is that just for the car's original radio or GPS?

Or can you get some kind of powered DAB aerial fitted to these things? What about the big long TV-aerial-like aerials, could you maybe mount that under the rear parcel shelf or something?

i hope someone can help me. I’ve bought the aux cable and plugged it into the back of my business head unit and aux does come up on the screen but as soon as I plug an iPhone in the aux sign goes off and I can’t play music. Is it possible to put the cable in upside down in the back of the head unit. It’s in a 2006 e46
I hope someone can help. Thanks.

	Hi there!

I recently tried to install the aux input on my 2001 325i, however as I found out... there is no cable to plug into on pre-09/2002 cars

Am I right with this information? I couldn’t find the cable

So, I was told a Parrot system could be installed with cables to the stuff in the boot for £300 with labour

What other options do I have to play music from my phone in the car?
And what’s the difference between this and the Intravee/Dynavin route?

	Thanks!

Good afternoon all, I’ve done a few searches but I can’t find a thread that answers my specific query, so here goes. I hope you can help.

i recently bought a 1999 E46 330d touring which has the BMW monitor 4x3 screen head unit with analogue tv and cassette player (photo attached!). The car doesn’t have nav and I don’t really need to add it to be honest. What I would like to do is upgrade to the larger screen head unit from later e46 models so that I can play cds etc.

I have seen these advertised fairly cheaply with boot mounted cd changers and dvd drives for the sat nav, my question is the degree of plug and play that making this upgrade involves, is the wiring likely to be there in the boot for the changer? Is the head unit going to work straight away without additional looms etc?

I have no interest in aftermarket units, I just want the larger screen bmw unit and could do with some advice as to how to make the swap.

	thanks in advance!

	Hello

ive just bought a genuine double din radio off eBay and went to fit it to my car today and I need an adaptor to plug in to the new radio. My plug in the car is round holes. The radio doesn’t seem to have an aerial plug either which my car does. Your help is very much appreciated

I recently installed a 4 channel amp myself on my bmw e 46 convertible, im not a pro and dont have vast knowledge about audio installation but managed well and researched what i could. The installation went well, used the 4 rca outputs from my aftermarket headunit, have a good ground on bare metal etc, connected my sub up and sounded really good, everything fine no issues. So then I thought I may aswell amp the rear speakers too and done so but may have got the + and - on the amp confused and when i turned the car on the speaker i attached made an odd noise so turned off car immediately. Once i turned the car on no speakers worked, disconnected amp and no speakers work, amp works fine turns on sub works fine for the bass but no sound. Thought the speakers may have blown but re amped the speaker i did previously and it worked fine, so i am co fused as to what could have happened and how to fix it. Any help is appreciated. Thankyou
