Dazh Posted April 8, 2010 Report Share Posted April 8, 2010 Hi all, I got these from the dealer a while ago and as they were listed as schwartz on realoem assumed they would be all black. What they actually are is chrome outers but the centre slats are black. Nice upgrade for the standard chrome grills and will fit all pre facelift Coupe only. They cost me about £80 so £40 including postage would be nice as they are in as new condition with no broken clips. scrimja Posted April 28, 2010 Report Share Posted April 28, 2010 There a few diy's going around (mainly fanatics IIRC). All you need to do is sand the chrome down a bit to roughen it up, few layers of primer, few layers of paint. The sanding takes forever to get a good key but it's worth it! I don't mean to ruin a sale here but if I was you, I'd buy a set of 4 pot kidneys from eBay as the slats are already black and should cost you no more than £15. ETA: Woops, just noticed these are 4 pot grilles. If you want a perfect set to change back to when you sell the car, buy these, keep the chrome parts from these and use the chrome from your old grilles with the black slats. After a bit of keying up with wet and dry and some coats of plastic primer, the paint took fine.
