Jamesy Boy ACS3d
Car went in for MOT today and failed on both near side and off side, front lower arm rear bushes. The garage quoted me £90 a side to supply and fit. Is this a reasonable cost??
Gaygle
Bit expensive, but nothing crazy. Get it done, should make the car feel better (Y)
n1k_ns
As above, not way off but its an easy DIY and you can pick them up pretty cheap on eBay I think I paid around the £90 mark fitted also, but having then replaced both front Control Arms myself, the bushes would have been a doddle! Save yourself a fortune £
Jamesy Boy ACS3d
Must admit she was starting to feel a bit heavy when steering, nothing to do with the fact I have 255/35/18's all round
Jamesy Boy ACS3d
As above, not way OTT but its an easy DIY and you can pick them up pretty cheap on eBay Would normally do it myself, but with all this weather (2ft of snow here) and the cold wind, the last thing I want to be doing is working under the car outside Looks like they have me by the balls

suhail97
£180 isn't too bad. I doubt you'd save much by shopping around. Like you say, what's it worth for you not to be crawling on the floor this time of year? £180 seems a bargain lol
Jamesy Boy ACS3d
As you say could probably get the price down by supplying myself, but the MOT runs out on Wednesday and the garage can do it tomorrow. So sod it, just want to get it done. I really hate having the MOT this time of year, really messes up my drinking money for xmas
PeterH
I'd ask if they had a press and get some powerflex babies in there
DJ Syxx
sounds about the average for a decent indy including the parts. wouldn't attempt to DIY in the freezing cold! lol

PeterH
I'm not sure if these are the same fit (should be) but £95 + whatever they want for fitting them... shouldn't take more than an hour! http://www.e46zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22459
Rob-
I'd be tempted to have new control arms fitted to while they're there. Kill two birds with one stone. I'd imagine it wont be long til they need doing anyway going by e46 standards lol
