///Marty
cool.... cheers muly.. didnt realise the stealers sold them. Sorry Wozza only just read this reply. As Muly said it comes straight from the dealers, much better than the aftermarket ones IMO. You will either have to cut a piece of plastic out of your existing carrier to allow the HU to be centralised (easy job - 2 mins with a dremel) or you can buy a new centralised carrier from BMW when you order the fascia. You will have to order it as they don't keep them in stock but my local stealers had one shipped over from germany in two days at no extra cost! Rob-
This looks like a bitch of a job but the result looks spot on. Any clue where i can get a climate control relocation kit from? Edit: Found one on Egay, does £35 sound about right or can they be had cheaper elsewhere?

///Marty
As above, either quarry motors or dealer. I seem to remember the dealer did work out a little cheaper on the one i bought for the M (the one that came in it had a scratch) and also the one i got from quarry used to get stuck half way up on the slow release mechanism. Not a massive problem but just one of those little things that used to annoy me.

Devvo
Marty.. I noticed you said that with an alpine unit you dont have to do the heater box mod? Is that because the alpine units are not as deep as the pioneers? Also the metal sheet that you fabricated is that for the back of the unit to sit on? mit
The Janus kit is rubbish. You won't be able to just reverse it unless its significantly changed since I got mine. Good luck
