Yolmol
Hello! So this was duff on my 330I - the thin bracket in the middle of the car (underneath the handbrake area) had snapped in two but I could live with it. However, the same thing has happened on my 330CI which is fair enough, but, the exhaust occasionally touches the bracket and it sounds like a wasp is trapped! Is it worth having the bracket welded if possible or can it be replaced? When I looked at it I though it was part of the system so couldn't be replaced - only repaired - but probably wrong!! autosri
Mine did this also used to make a clicking sound on hard acceleration as the bracket tapped the other half I just had it welded cost a tenner and has been fine ever since
Yolmol
Ok cool - had hoped to get a replacement bracket but if it fixes easy enough with a weld who am i to complain. I will add it to the list of things to be done at kwik fit!!
simonlpearce
Wouldn't trust quick fit to weld anywhere near my car .
