C15LVN
Hi guys, i know this will have been covered many times and ive done a quick search and found a few helpful threads, but i need some quick answers as if i cant sort this out i will have to put my 19s back on over winter which i dont really want to do. The problem i have is that today i put my MV2s back on for the winter and when i drove off i could hear the inside of my wheels catching on my coilovers at the front, i had my coilovers fitted when i had my 19s on and didnt get any rubbing against the coilovers. In the few threads ive read on here 20mm hubcentric spacers do the job fine, however what i didnt really find out was will i get away with 20mm on the rears and 15mm on the fronts if my car is pretty low on coilovers. i only need them on the front but thought i might aswell do the rear too so it doesnt look daft having the fronts poking out more than the rear. anway, to my question. does anyone here on coilovers know if i will get away with 15mm front and 20mm rear without getting rubbing from the arches? or would i be better of going 15mm all round. ive found these on the bay, anyone know if they are ok or can i get better for my money. Or if i can get any over the counter anywhere so i can get them quickly. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f0f999955 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cbaf407f3 Cheers all Cal
Wash
Or you could perhaps raise the coilovers over the winter so you don't get any rubbing and then lower it again when you've got your 19s back on?
DJ Syxx
Or you could perhaps raise the coilovers over the winter so you don't get any rubbing and then lower it again when you've got your 19s back on? Raising it won't make a difference, front wheels is rubbing the coilover strut. Cal don't buy those as they are made of steel. You want aluminium ones like these. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19cac7b30d Go for 15mm all round this will be perfect and give a nice wider track all round and look better too. Thanks for the advice mate. 15mm on the front will be fine, plenty of space, will be very close at the back though, 15mm will take tyre wall very close to arch. Will get 15mm all round though and give it a shot. hows the M3 treating you? noticed you got rid of your 330. I keep getting tempted by a M3 i have to admit. Any advice? Cal You should be fine with the 15's at the back mate. M3 is alright, just a stiffer faster version of the 330! Drive one if you haven't you won't be disappointed, they are dropping in price quite considerably too so you there's a decent choice out there.
