The best quality and easiest Angel Eyes?

Recommended Posts

If you want LED ones then CPD do some good ones if you check out the website and also SSDD..

I bought mine from SSDD motorsport and teddy is a top guy but I have also heard great things about Hidesh @ CPD

Problem with yours being a facelift, it will be a matter of taking the headlight out and seperating it apart to install the angel eyes!

I know you want leds. I just fitted CCFL eyes and I'm really happy with them, I read that led's flicker a bit on start up... but i don't know for sure.

Hmm well I was advised to stay away from CCFL but I suppose its down to personal opinion, thanks for the links dude

Last weekend I installed LED Angel Eyes on my pre-facelift coupe

I purchased them from Ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290954545081?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

The kit was pretty simple to install and I'm very happy with the result. Would also highly recommend the seller, reasonabile cost, very fast shipping and a good quality product, provided me with instructions via email as PDF which were pretty clear - but also found some helful videos on YouTube

The kit I installed seemed to be near identical to the LED Weisslicht kit that has had some pretty decent reviews. The same seller offers CCFL and LED kits for facelift models that may be of interest!

I've done a small tutorial kinda thing with a video on how to take the facelift headlights apart with a hairdryer. Using my phone to post right now so can't find it but if you look through my posts you should be able to find it. Not managed to get round to fitting the angel eyes yet though. Hope that helps.

another vote for CCFL's here.....i looked at loads of threads before deciding on CCFLs, they give out a "cleaner" light, and are not as blinding as LED ones.
Only problem with CCFL is the invertors can sometimes fail, but you can easily buy replacements off ebay, A CCFL kit is usually cheaper as well

Personal preference i guess....
I went for the OEM look and fitted the Orange/Yellow ones...also creates a nice colour contrast between the Xenon colour and ring colour
(although mine is a pre-facelift)

If you have your heart set on LED ones the CDP or SSDD is your best bet

You know the OEM look is now 4300k to match the Xenons, right? :P

I know what you are saying and I do prefer the look of CCFL but with mine being th facelift version its very difficult to fit the angel eyes in the first place because the headlights are glued together... So replacing broken CCFL's would be an absolute nitemare!

@shafz

hen you mount ur angel eyes, how do you did with the plastic strip bellow the headlight? Just asking this because of the washers... I'm going to buy an angel eyes kit (for pre-facelift coupe, not the facelift one in the avatar pic) with washers on and I dont want to break anything with the installation :P

BTW, replying to the topic on my last 320cd facelift I used CCFL with no problems for several years :punk:

When CCFL's go faulty 9/10 its the inverter which is in the engine bay, when LED ones go faulty, you will have to replace the whole angel eye itself

I didnt fully remove the strip, you dont have to, just unclip the strip from the mounting points, then the only thing holding it on will be the headlight washer, you can pull the strip forward enough to unclip the headlight lens :) (water will pour out everytime you pull the strip forward.

hope that helps

they were pretty much identical to the one b0b posted in that thread.

il try and find where i bought mine from (it wasnt ebay)

is yours pre-facelift with projector lights?

Hm.. really annoying that it looks different on different coloured cars, time of the day images taken etc etc..

yeah, (no light expert) i'd like to say they are projector, pre facelift. (2002 clubsport 2.5). Don't want to order wrong ones and want factory look (4300 yellow ish).

can anybody recommended a decent led kit for facelift headlights? would like the hid bulbs aswell as the angel eyes so its all matching colours! I think I want leds over ccfls? is that peoples general thoughts?

Heres mine with smds adyzyqyq.jpgvuza2u4e.jpg5u5avega.jpg The last two they are very dim and acting like welcome home lights so you can imagine how bright they are. I put a hid kit in. They were a perfect match to 6k hids. But prefer the look of 6k angels with halogen bulb. Looks different imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

they look spot on mate! who did you order the kit from? easy to fit? don't you have to separate the headlights with a heat gun etc?
