SamN
E46 or E39 style 32s? Is the E36 lowered or on standard suspension? Is it a coupe/compact/convertible/saloon/estate? If it's standard E46 style 32s will fit. If lowered you may need to roll the rear arches. Either way E39 style 32s will need arch work on the rears. E36 are slightly smaller than E46 arches, and like the E46, the saloon/estate have slightly smaller arches than the coupe/convertible.

SamN
Or even E38 rims ? Sorry that's what I meant, but you can get E39 style 32s as well.. They're 17", but still obviously better fitment than the E46 equivalent!
Shabaza
straight on, may actually need spacers to make them fit the arch more appealingly Thomaskit

Alix
They look amazing on E36's too!
SamN
Those in the pic are E38 fitment (more dish, wider and lower offset so stick out more). The e46 fitment style 32s will go straight on. Spacers are a personal preference if you want them to stick out a tad more. I'd recommend trial fitting them first.
simonlpearce
Can confirm what Sam is saying as i had E38 style 32's on my e36 and they rubbed so i got rid. Jamesflork
