Dicky Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 9, 2009 Paul good call on waiting for the weather to warm up a bit or else it could be a bit of a waste of time I didn't pull them apart anymore than was needed to get the glue in there mate Best advise is to tape it all up while it dries else gravity takes effect and it just falls down before the glue has had a chance to set and glue on both sides Worked a treat for me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cunni Posted February 23, 2009 Report Share Posted February 23, 2009 FYI lads I've a mate who works for AutoGlass, I showed him this issues with mine, and he got out this stuff from the van, He said he uses it to make the glass stay in place on car windscreens... Its amazing! Its not moved in a good 6 months! I'l try and and find out what it is, but from what i can remember, it looks like bluetac, but black, sticky as hell and really really squashy! They use it 2 stick focus scuttles down its called tremshield. Here's what it looks like and its amazing, My mate swears by it, best thing is its water proof. I hope that helps! Mate top marks ANother one ive found, which imo is so far better than the impact stuff, is unibond repair extreme power glue. TheCrow Posted July 2, 2009 Report Share Posted July 2, 2009 Just fixed (maybe temp fixed) ours a few days ago. We tried some locktight (MOD spec) glue, its been holding there boots together for months so figured it shouldn't have much problems with a bit of lining.
