Great job there! Whats with the lawn mower lines though :) !!

I really need to attack the engine bay soon. Need some APC though! Whats your thoughts on using washing up liquid on the engine areas? It's a good degreaser and I know it's not brilliant for the paint (I'd never use it on the oustide!!) but would it be ok on the engine bay and under the arches? I'm becoming cleanyourcar's best customer and as much as I'd like that title, I'd like to reduce my spending on bloody cleaning items lol.

You can get APC from supermarkets (no need for specific Detailing brands as they're all the same). Washing-up liquid is roughly the same thing, there isn't much variation in this sort of cleaner, but I'd still say buy an APC liquid rather than fairy.

Looks really good matt, makes me want a front end respray to get rid of stone chips :D Not sure why the dealer I bought it off used a green touch up pen on a purple car! Thanks for the mention on the rain-X recommendation, its really good stuff if you make sure you apply it right, I find buffing it off with a damp MF cloth helps for some reason.

Get yourself some Daisy APC from Tesco mate. Does a great job, plus it smells good too :D Great for cleaning around the badges on the boot etc...

Daisy APC FTW!

Ive been mooching around DW for a while now, theres even a pro detailer on there who is only 15 years old! he been doing it since he was 12.

His business is called DetailMyRide.com Its madness to think that a 12 year old was detailing cars like BMWs and Mercs....

Great write up mate, the lines in the carpets are just the added touch!

There was a 15 year old, Bailes, on the 306 forum I am on. He was a detailer too from DW. He made a t**t out of himself too, their immaturity really does come out on the internet.

Search his username on the internet lol, banned from like 3 ford forums for talking too much bulls*** about 'Daddy's car'

Videos of him just revving the engine from cold, it's well funny.

Thats pretty school boy isnt it! I bet he was texting his "bruvs" getting them to join up as soon as....

Since ive been on here its happened a few times, you see new people and they kick up such a fuss after about 5 posts that they sort of make that decision not to come back again...

Theres like 60/70 regular posters on here with a decent post count but loads have about 10-15 and then jog on.....

Back on topic - How much was the steam cleaner buddy? The difference in the dirt on the doors is amazing, mines quite grubby to say the least...

about fifyty pounds. If you don't want to spend the cash, apc and a stiff brush will get most out. Steaming is a lot easier though.

No, I wouldn't advise APC on leather as it will be quite aggressive. Use specific leather cleaners where possible. If you only have access to APC then make sure it's a weak solution and only apply it with a soft microfibre cloth.

Always follow up any leather cleaning with a conditioner to keep it nice and soft and supple.
