Aidan316i
As I mentioned before the car had a faulty fuel guage, around the 1/4 tank mark the car would lose power before stopping, as in running out of fuel, so I had both the sender units changed over Last night it did it again (in a busy area, hurrah!) so i'm wondering whats the next possibility? Been told it could be the In Tank Pump?
mit
Is it happening because it's actually run out of fuel and the gauge is wrong, or is it that the car thinks it's out of fuel and isn't?
Aidan316i
The car reckons its got around a 1/4 tank left, but when you open the bonnet and look at the clear pipe from the fuel filter its bone dry (as in out of diesel) Add diesel out of a jerry can, turn key and you're away? syemon
IIRC there is a rubber o ring in the fuel pick up in the tank that perishes and gives those symptoms. Check on www.bmw5.co.uk
